Golf: Boavista Golf opened on 1st January 2002, the impressive 18 Hole Championship golf course has been designed by Howard Swan MSc, past president of The European Institute of Golf Course Architects. His philosophy - to create a course as if it has always been there - has been sensitively applied at Boavista, preserving, integrating and harmonising with the area's natural terrain.

Wow! My family and I were all delighted by the standard of this accommodation.
The apartment is beautiful, very spacious, and by far the nicest we have ever stayed in and we do have reasonably high standards! It was immaculately clean on arrival and maintained at this level by daily visits from cleaners. The decor and furnishings are lovely and tasteful, the kitchen and cooking facilities excellent and the SKY TV in lounge and both bedrooms ensured all family (including teenagers) happy. The views from the south facing balcony over the golf course was great. The price of this accommodation was less than I paid for a very mediocre caravan in France last summer; very good VFM! This also included unlimited access to the lovely Health Spa which we used every day and was a great place to sunbathe away from the busier communal pool areas. We were also able to access unlimited gym, sauna/steam room facilities - heaven!
My main critism, and I hate to be picky, but feel that this was quite a large distraction for me, was that the beds were very uncomfortable - when you are there for 2 weeks and fail to get a decent nights sleep, it can detract from what we all viewed as fantastic accommodation.
The BoaVista resort is lovely - the grounds are exquisitely well-maintained. The restaurant at the clubhouse is good, if a little pricey, and staff very friendly. In my opinion the resort would benefit from better evening entertainment facilities and also a small shop for buying those essentials. The whole resort is like 'Little England' but has managed to stay a 'Chav-free' zone to date. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone after a quiet and relaxing holiday. Those after a more lively social scene should probably look elsewhere.
