The apartment has own reserved parking space in exclusive protected underground car park.
Insiders tips:
1. The Dolphin Seafari that runs out of the marina on a big rigid inflatable
boat is fantastic. Expensive (£20 each) but the sight of 20-30 dolphins in the open
ocean so close you can almost touch them is incredible and the speed of the
boat is pretty awesome too (almost 50mph).
2. Finding the Mama Mia Pizzeria is well worth it. Fantastic food, really friendly staff
especially Jose, and amazing prices (£12 for two pizzas and a bottle of a
pretty good red wine, Romeira). It's on the way into the main
square from the promenade, opposite the Post Office.
3. The Roman Catholic Church can be found at the far end of the promenade
behind the statue of Henry the Navigator. Mass times are either 18:00 or
18:30 depending on time of year.
Beach - 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment:
The sheltered, sandy four mile long Meia Praia beach is five minutes walk from the apartment.
The Atlantic coast has wilder and more deserted beaches (even in high summer) especially around Aljezur while the coast along to Sagres is dotted with sandy, sheltered white beaches perfect for families, sunbathing and snorkelling.
Luz, Salema and Burgau are especially beautiful and popular with families.
Golf:
Many guest come to the apartment specifically for golf as it is ideally situated for numerous courses. There is plenty of room in the apartment for clubs and the secure, underground parking and modern lift system make getting clubs in and out of the car and apartment easy.
Just a few minutes walk away is the 18 hole Palmares golf course overlooking the Bay of Lagos and one of the most beautiful in the Algarve. This course is laid out on the side of a south-facing hill overlooking the Bay of Lagos. It is unquestionably the most attractive location of all the golf courses in the Algarve. The views as you play your round are quite breathtaking. Five of the holes are placed on the sand dunes with the fifth, a par-5 of 550 metres making a real challenge. At present there are no villas clustering the fairways so the feeling of openness as you play is very refreshing.
The 18 hole Boa Vista course is a short drive away. Boavista offers two distinct sections of play providing a variety of attractive and interesting holes. From the first to the last putt on the 18th green it promises a sensible game for the average player. Umbrella pines, blossoming almond, fig, palm and olive trees line the rolling fairways, weaving their way between water hazards and carefully placed bunkers. Breathtaking views, spectacular scenery and the clear Atlantic Ocean, which is visible from most holes, all combine to make this course a delight for the golfer.
