Set in beautiful grounds in a quiet road and with it's own private pool, Casa Ajana is the perfect villa for a holiday away with family or friends.

With 4 spacious bedrooms, a large dining/sitting room, a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen, you will have everything you need for a relaxing holiday. In the evening enjoy barbecues cooked in the barbecue room room, or have cocktails on the patio or the roof terrace overlooking the garden.

Located 5 minutes from the village of Bensafrim, 10 minutes from the historic town of Lagos (and the beach), and approximately 1 hour from Faro airport, the villa combines a quiet location with easy access to shopping/restaurants, the beach and a number of golf courses.

Casa Ajana is located in a quiet road about 5 minutes from the villages of Bensafrim and Portelas and 10 minutes from the town of Lagos. With no through traffic this is a peaceful location, yet with easy access to local facilities. Please note that although the property appears quite close to the motorway from the map, you cannot see or hear it. In fact as our reviews make clear the location is extremely quiet.

Lagos is an historic town with many sights worth seeing as well as a plethora of bars, restaurants and shops - both independent boutiques and supermarkets. The main town beach - Meia Praia - has all the facilities you could look for including all types of watersports, and because it is so long it never gets too crowded, particularly away from the centre of town.

Bensafrim and Portelas both have a smaller more 'villagey' feel, but again with good (and extremely reasonable) restaurants and bar

Notes: There are a few steps to the front door making the property unsuitable for wheelchairs. Inside the accommodation is on one level with just a couple of steps down to the large twin bedroom.

During your stay: The villa is serviced by a maid 6 days per week, with weekly visits from a gardener and pool man. The keys are held by an English couple locally and they will also be able to help you with any questions you might have whilst staying at Casa Ajana. Additionally they can provide a welcome pack of food if required for a small extra charge. Please note that we currently have 2 portable air conditioners and 2 powerful fans in the villa.

Golf:

Casa Ajana is within easy reach by car of a number of fantastic golf courses including Palmares, Penina and Boa Vista. More details can be provided on request.

The villa is in lovely location, very private and set in beautiful grounds. We had a most relaxing time to make one of our best family holidays. The welcome pack organised by Reg was most welcome and the services of Elena was a real treat. The villa is ideally placed to pop into Lagos, go to the local beaches or to visit the west coast. The way the letting was handled was first class and I would not hesitate recommending it to others. Highly recommended.

spacious villa (pool) near Lagos Portugal

This is a lovely villa on a large ground with all kind of trees and flowers in a quiet area of other houses outside Lagos, about 6 km from the next beach. All rooms are nicely equipped, there are four bathrooms. You also find an open grillroom at the house, functioning very well. The pool is large, pool service available, immediately if necessary. An outstandig service is the housemaid Elena, a portuguese woman looking for everything during the morning hours. All organisation problems were execellenty solved, a local english partner is at the same village.

After two relaxing weeks we strongly reccomend holidays in Villa Ajana

Casa Ajana, July 2009

Not long returned from our lovely 2 week stay at Casa Ajana. Would highly recommend this villa, the location is perfect, in the countryside with beautiful views yet close enough to be convenient for Lagos, beaches, supermarkets etc. The villa is spacious, secluded, quiet and is set in lovely gardens. It is excellently equipped with a fantastic pool and a great external BBQ room. As a previous review, we visited Restaurante "O Caseiro" just outside a small village called Arao, the meal was brilliant, as was the service - highly recommended. The owners friend Reg was very helpful and was on hand if anything was needed. A brilliant holiday was had by all with ages ranging from 17 to 71.

Casa Ajana

We had an excellent 2 weeks here - the whole family (4 children, parents, granny) enjoyed themselves very much. The villa itself was as described although I would say the pictures did not quite do it justice. There is a barbecue room for cooking all the fresh fish from Lagos market and a very nice outside seating area. Elena, the maid who comes in every day to tidy up/wash up/ do washing was another perk which we were unaware of. Highly recommended.
