Praia Da Luz: This delightful village overlooks a pretty & sheltered bay, which has a very safe sandy beach & amazing rock formations. It is well supplied with restaurants and beach bars and there are some excellent cliff walks to neighbouring villages and beaches. The number of villas in the Luz area has increased considerably over the last few years, they are of a high quality and low density and have resulted in the facilities in the village being improved to match. There are water sports schools, and a Scuba Diving Centre, The Fishing Port of Lagos. The medieval walled town sits on a hillside overlooking the harbour & an impressive marina, the wide bay of golden sand, its picturesque cobbled streets & selection of markets mingled in with modern shops make it a must to visit. Numerous restaurants, street cafes together with night time street entertainers, lively bars and discos add to the charm. For those wanting culture art galleries, ancient monuments and museums are also nearby.

Notes:

The Villa is new and was completed at the end of November 2005 which means that all the fixtures, fittings and furniture are new. The Villa is our Portuguese home and is being furnished as such. Extensive outdoor facilities encourage outdoor eating with covered patios and private enclosed pool and gardens. The fourth Bedroom has bunk beds with double below and single bed above. First floor lounge is equipped with a good quality double sofa bed. Property layout is ideal for two families of four to share. Guests are requested not to smoke within the villa but ash trays will be provided for use on the terraces. There are two restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk of the villa. The cliff top and associated walks are a 10 min amble, with the beautiful safe sandy cove of Prai De Luz 25 minwalk away. Bus stop within 5 min walk. Historic fishing port, marina and extensive shops 15 min drive. Cape St Vincent, the end of Europe is 30 min drive away.

We have spent our last two summer holidays at Casas De Sonhos and we are going again this August. Normally we like to go somewhere different each year but because the villa is so special we have been unable to prize ourselves away.
The villa itself is built to a very high specification with everything you could want. It is very clean and well maintained and the maids, gardeners and pool cleaner keep everything working smoothly. The garden is well kept and encompasses the showpiece swimming pool. This is kept well chlorinated and clean and we like to have it heated.
We have found it important to have transport while we are there, and the village of Praia Da Luz is only a few minutes drive away. Praia Da Luz has a lovely beach and a good range of restaurants. Lagos is well worth a visit and we have really enjoyed the small fishing village of Burgau with its quaint pubs and restaurants.
We have found Casas De Sonhos to be a wonderful venue for our summer holidays and we would highly recommend it to others.
