How to get there:
Fly to Faro airport - a number of UK airlines fly direct including Monarch, EasyJet, TaP and British Airways. The flight takes about 3 hours and Portugal is in the same time zone as the UK. There are lots of flights every day.
It takes about 1 hour to reach the villa by car, either in a taxi (about Euro 70) or renting a car - Hertz, Sixt, Europcar and others are available from Faro airport. The motorway from Faro to Lagos is fast and quiet, and the majority of the journey is on this road. A train service also operates from Faro to Lagos.
Directions from Lagos to the Villa, about 6 kms, are available.
In the summer peak season its best to arrange car rental before you arrive.
Lisbon and Sevilha are a 3 hour car journey.

Jeep Safaris - Driving over hills and through valleys, along tracks that you´d never find. The safaris take passengers to areas where indigenous flora and fauna rea in abundance. Usually a ful day out with a picnic lunch
Blokarting - Try the newest sport to hit the Algarve near Sagres - on a 3-wheeled go-kart with a sail attached to catch the wind - is exciting and exhilarating
From Luz there are daytrip coaches to the water parks (Aqualand, Aquashow and Krazy World) and the Dolphin Park (ZoomMarine) as well as several museums invite to trips.
Gymnasiums and fitness centers all offering standard equipment. Pampering offer a variety od beauty treatment and alternative therapy salons.
Further interesting activities are also the Gypsy markets, interesting shops selling gifts adn Portuguese pottery
The Algarve's very own night life party capital-Albufeira within a 30min drive.
Two huge shopping centers are located in Portimao and Guia within a 30min. drive.
International Medical Service:
First Aid service in several languages are available 24h a day in Praia da Luz from general practitioners, specialized doctors to dentists and health centers with possible visits to home. There are also public and private Hospitals located in Lagos. In addition Alvor has a private hospital with an excellent reputation, providing a 24-hour emergency service, accepting most credit cards, having a direct link to several major health insurance companies. Portimao offers a state hospital with a very good 24-hour open children's clinic. All current medicines are easy to obtain in the well equipped pharmacies operating 24h a day for emergency services (applicable for those in duty).
Golf:
Golfers flock to the Algarve all year round due to the mild winter climate, spectacular scenery and the manicured fairways and greens of many world class courses. None of the present courses are more than 15km away from the coast but vary greatly from the steep hillsides at Parque de Floresta to the flat terrain of Salgados, so whatever course you are looking for, the Algarve is sure to have it!
