The maid is full time and an English representative is close at hand. Due to its idyllic situation on the hillside it always catches the Atlantic breeze making air conditioning unnecessary. The Quinta is to very high specification since the owners live here for a part of the year. All the en suite bedrooms have French windows opening onto patios with lovely views of the gardens and countryside. Of the three bedrooms 2 have double beds and one three single beds. There are tiled floors throughout. The enormous split level living and dining room has a marble fireplace and is divided into seating areas. Sliding glass doors open onto patios with an outside covered eating and lounging area. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. A separate laundry area contains the washing machine and a chest freezer. The owners have a unique collection of ornamental frogs to compliment the many frogs found in the terraced ponds.

Notes to the rental rates

  * the rates apply for 7 persons, extra persons to be charged at £55.00 per week.
  * Cot rental is £30.00
  * A refundable deposit against breakages will be charged at £400.00 except in July and August when it is £600.00
  * Payment to be made by cheque or bankers draft.
  * The maid will do baby sitting and laundry for an extra charge but this is to be paid directly to her.
  * 25% deposit to confirm reservation with the balance paid 8 weeks before departure

Gardens

The magnificent gardens with its waterfalls, ponds, cobbled pathways, terraces, orchard and giant chess set are one of the finest in the area and tended by a full time gardener. The walled 45 foot swimming pool ensures your privacy. Overlooking a formal garden and the marble chess board is an exquisite al fresco barbecue area seating 14. It is decorated with handpainted 'azulejos' and closed on 3 sides and so protected from the sun and wind. A shower room and toilet is adjoining.

Area Information

The picturesque marina port of Lagos is 5 mins by car. Dating back to 350BC it is proud of its history and old cobbled streets contrast with the vibrant yacht marina and quaint squares decked with restaurants and cafes providing boulevard dining with a wealth of cuisine to suit everyone. The Estate also overlooks the fishing village of Luz, a beautiful beach resort providing family waterfront activites and a choice of cafes and shops. Inland are the hills of Monchique and the historic town of Sagres is less than 20 mins away

Sporting facilities

Water sports, tennis, horse riding, deep sea fishing, bird watching are all in the vacinity. The exquisite health spa at Spa Floresta is 10 mins away. There are 4 major golf courses within a 20 minute drive, the lonks course of Palmares is 10 mins, Penina, 20 mins, Parque de Floresta is 10 mins and the Algarves latest most stunning course opeining in Jan 2002, Boa Vista, can be seen from the villa.
