Praia da Luz is situated on Portugal's western coast, approximately 5 minutes drive from Lagos and its Marina and about 45 minutes drive from Faro Airport. Praia da Luz translated means Beach of Light and it certainly lives up to its name with lovely golden sands and a quaint prominade which is yet unspoilt. It has a good selection of restaurants and the Boa Vista Golf Club is approximately 1 1/2 miles away. There are some lovely walks in both directions and in the summer months the usual water sports are available. Luz is a small town built on the side of a hill and our house is at the bottom by the beach. There are two good supermarkets available in Luz and a large one called Intermarche on the road to Lagos. It is more convenient to have a car but there is a regular bus service available.

| Notes: | There is one dining balcony off the lounge and a terrace off each double bedroom, all with table and chairs. The bedrooms are downstairs and there is also a roof terrace which houses a barbeque, table and 4 chairs, 4 sun loungers plus sea view. CHILDREN UNDER TEN are not allowed and, because of the stair access, it is not suitable for the elderly or infirm. It has recently had new, good quality furniture and the kitchen has been replaced this year. THIS IS A NON SMOKING HOUSE. |
