Praia da Luz is a small town with many restaurants and a variety of water sports available at the beach. There is a supermarket and several smaller shops. The large town of Lagos is a ten minute car journey and has many shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. There are lots of golf courses in the surrounding area with Boavista actually by Praia da Luz. The journey from Faro takes about fifty minutes along the motorway and you can drive to Cape St Vincent in about 20 min from Praia da Luz. It is also well worth going to Aljezur on the west coast to see the spectacular beaches and views.
