A luxurious and spacious 2 bedroom townhouse fully fitted to a very high standard. The master bedroom, which contains a double bed and has a large en-suite bathroom with shower and bidet, is located on the ground floor giving easy access to a private external patio and garden area and to the shared pool. The first floor comprises a large lounge with dining area, British Satellite with Flatscreen TV and Radio, DVD Player and living flame gas fire and two sofas. The second bedroom which is fitted with 2 single beds is accessed from the living area as is the separate shower room. The kitchen is also located on the first floor and is fully fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, oven and gas hob. A further balcony terrace is accessed via patio doors from the living area. The location is ideal for families and golfers alike. 5 minutes walk to the restaurants, shops and golden sandy beaches of Luz with Parque da Floresta and Bovista Golf Resorts only 3 - 4 kms away

The townhouse is situated within easy reach of the local supermarket in the centre of Luz, and a short walk to the golden sandy beach. Local transport such as taxis and buses are easy and convenient to use. Praia da Luz is the first of a trio of fishing villages, which attract visitors who like a relaxed, low-key holiday environment. There are fine beaches and plenty of peaceful, natural beauty along this spectacular stretch of coastline. For walking enthusiasts the next fishing village of Burgau can be reached via a scenic coastal path within one and a quarter of an hour's walk. The village of Luz has all the necessary amenities i.e. post office, bank, variety of restaurants, bars, cinema. The coast from Lagos down to Praia da Luz has a fantastic lacy rock formation and sea caves in the cliffs, which are very attractive, most of them can only be reached by boat. The main town of Lagos, approximately 6 km from Praia da Luz, has an historical background dating from the 15th century.

Airport Transfer: The nearest airport is Faro which is just a 50 minute drive down the A22 motorway. If you plan to hire a car (recommended if you plan to do a lot of sight-seeing and/or golfing), you will find many car hire firms at the airport. Alternatively, a taxi will cost around £50 each way, or if you prebook with a company (such as Resorthoppa) you can get a private or coach transfer considerably cheaper. Once in Luz everything you need is within walking distance, but if you wish to travel around and see some of the other spectacular sights in the Algarve, there is a regular bus service and a taxi stand situated 100m away from the apartment.

Places to Visit: Luz is the ideal place from which to explore the Western Algarve, and beyond, as the new A22 motorway makes the whole of the Algarve easily accessible. Lagos has lovely boutiques and restaurants, plus dolphin watching, grotto trips and surfing excursions available at the marina. The beautiful rolling hills and spring in Monchique are definitely worth a visit, and so is Foia, the highest point in the Algarve, with spectacular views all the way to the sea! There is also an historic fortress at Cape St Vincent and the former Arabian Capital Town and port Silves, the renowned beach of Praia da Rocha, three huge waterparks (the nearest in Lagoa) and the Algarves very own party capital - Albufeira, all within a 30 minute drive. Plus much much more!

Golf Information: Golfers flock to the Algarve all year round due to the mild winter climate, spectacular scenery and the manicured fairways and greens of many world class courses. None of the present courses are more than 15km away from the coast but vary greatly from the steep hillsides at Parque de Floresta to the flat terrain of Salgados, so whatever course you are looking for, the Algarve is sure to have it! Here is a brief summary of the courses nearest to Luz: *BOAVISTA - 5 minutes drive, par 71, handicap card required, views of Atlantic ocean and hills of Monchique. *PALMARES - 10 minutes drive, par 71, gentle slopes above an extensive beach. *PARQUE DE FLORESTA - 15 minutes drive, par 72, rolling, hilly terrain. *PENINA - 20 minutes drive, par 73, handicap card required, leafy with large water hazards.

We spent a fantastic two weeks at this apartment, which has fabulous sea views from the living room and balcony. It was well furnished, although the settees were well "lived". All conveniences were catered for including a dish washer, which wasn't used to the greatest effect because Luz has some fantastic eateries and are very reasonably priced. Supermarket is within walking distance and the public transport system is modern, punctual and easy to use. The apartment was spotless at the start and with a mid week linen change and a week end clean it was almost too nice too leave. But the call of the pool immediately outside the bedroom door and the beautiful sea were too much too resist. Nice and small complex with only seven townhouses which even when fully occupied, did not feel cramped or noisy. The walk to the beach and the supermarket is very easy, but you have to get your marching boots on ( and a cannister of oxygen ) for the way back. The hill is pretty steep coming back up, but after three or four goes, you get used to it and it is almost refreshing, if not actually enjoyable. We never hired a car as this was our first trip to Portugal and we wanted to get to know Luz well first. we ventured as far a Lagos which is lovely and is only about 15 minutes away by bus. We will be back, but will hire a car the next time we visit so that perhaps we can venture further afield. Luz is beautiful and the people are so very friendly and when all put together, made a very enjoyable holiday. The management team were also very good and discrete when having to carry on their cleaning. They also very kindly arranged a taxi for us for our return to the airport. Thank you Kenny for allowing us to stay and we will almost certainly return.
