The townhouse featured in the 27 March 2003 “I Want That House” programme on ITV1, and has been lovingly and tastefully decorated and furnished as a second home and to offer luxury holiday accommodation. It is quietly situated within the well designed Porto dona Maria resort, located midway between the coastal villages of Praia da Luz and Bergau - both in walking distance. It has a spacious living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, with views/access to terrace, and downstairs two bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms. The townhouse is only a minutes walk to the breathtaking swimming pool, with uninterrupted and panoramic ocean views, and coastal footpath into Luz and Bergau. Luz offers supermarkets, and together with Bergau there are excellent restaurants to suit all tastes. AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTALS.

Notes: Porto dona Maria has a reception, and 24 hour security. The townhouse can sleep comfortably 5 in the double and large twin room, with an additional 2 sleeping in the sofa bed located in the lounge. You can phone reception from the house, to book taxis, for instance. On request, there can be a food parcel on arrival. There is a restaurant next to the reception called L'Escargot which is open 7.30p.m until 11.30p.m. closed on Sundays. Dress code is smart casual (no shorts) booking advisable. Burgau Sports Centre: caters for children’s sports. Tennis is available every Wednesday and school holidays. Group coaching is around 4,50 euros per child. Other sports include: football, hockey, touch rugby, running races, swimming races, diving competitions, baseball and rounders which are around 7,50 euros per child for 4 hours. Golf: Boavista Golf, the impressive 18 Hole Championship golf course, with spectacular scenery boasts delightful views of Lagos bay and the Monchique Mountains, is only 3-4Km east. Parque da Floresta (PDF) 18 Hole Championship golf course, with breathtaking views over the rolling hills of the West Algarve national park conservation area, is only 3-4Km west.

Eating in or out: From a self-catering point of view, the townhouse provides all you could need to enjoy a completely relaxing break. The Algarve, however, is also renowned for its good food, particularly fresh fish and seafood. From beachside restaurants in Praia da Luz, to several top quality restaurants in/around Bergau (including Restaurant Ancora - one of the top 10 restaurants in Portugal). Or try the lovely old town of Lagos with its beautiful marina and restaurants, excellent shopping and a more vibrant nightlife for those who want it.

How to get there:: Fly to Faro. You can pre-arrange car hire for collection at and return to the airport (Hertz number available on request); the journey to Lagos is simple, by motorway - now complete to Lagos(50 mins drive). Alternatively you can take a taxi (approx. £50 each way) or, more economically, train from Faro to Lagos (£5) and a short taxi ride to Porto dona Maria. Alternatively, fly to Lisbon. Lisbon to Porto dona Maria is about 3 hours drive time (door to door).

'Just thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for the use of your town house and to tell you how much we enjoyed our 8 days there.The weather was hot & then very hot! and we did appreciate the coolness inside the house. The maids were just finishing the preparation when we arrived, so we went to do some supermarket shopping. The welcome pack of items were great and very comprehensive, and the house was spotless. The kitchen equipment was superb... We really had a very restful holiday - and we hope maybe to stay with you again in the future' -Mr & Mrs K (August 2003)
