CASA VELHA is the original farmhouse, owner occupied at times.It offers 4 bdrms and 2 shower rooms, sleeping up to 10 people, ground floor dining room with fireplace and comfortable sitting corner, large upstairs living room, windows overlooking biological pool, gardens,fig carob and almond trees and the ocean. Casa Velha is the original farmhouse, owner occupied at times, ideal for year round holiday rentals.The villa offers a ground floor dining room with fireplace, comfortable sitting corner, Plasma Satellite TV/CD/Radio and a large upstairs living room (formerly a hay-loft), also with TV/DVD/CD/radio, wooden ceiling & 3 windows overlooking biological swimming pool and the ocean, across gardens, fig, carob and almond trees. It suits families or friends, offering 3 or 4 bedrooms: a double, a twin, a bedroom with a single bed and an adult bunk bed and a children's bedroom with 2 bunk beds, one of which double, sleeping up to 5 children. Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices shown are for the use of 3 bedrooms and up to 6 people occupancy. For extra bedroom and up to 8 people, add 10%. Additional people over 12 years add 6%, child 4 to 11years 4%, no charge under 4 years, cot provided free if booked in advance.
    A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm booking, the remainder plus 150€ security deposit against damages are due 3 weeks before arrival.
    Full refund of security deposit upon checking villa after departure.
  • Changeover day is Saturday, other days possible by arrangement.
    1 hour daily maid service for cleaning is included except on Sunday!!!! Bedclothes are changed weekly, towels twice weekly. Babysitting available, 7.50 euros/hour.
  • During Winter months (Dec,Jan,Feb,) there will be a small daily charge for heating and firewood: 8 euros.

  • All bedrooms have electric oil heaters, fitted curtained wardrobes, a chest of drawers, chair and bedside tables with lamps. Additional light fittings on walls. Bed linen provided is cotton, mostly fitted sheets and duvets with covers. Bedroom 2 has very large adjoining single divans, can be separated. Bedroom 3 is particularly suitable for children, featuring a bunkbed with single top and bottom divan beds and another bunkbed with a single divan bed on top and a bottom double futon bed, which folds into a settee when not in use. Bedroom 4 has a single divan bed and a bunkbed. Bedrooms 2,3 and 4 have large double pane windows with net curtains and solid wooden shutters and are all on the same level, with views across the entrance of the farm, towards the golf course. Bedroom 1 is located on a lower level and has a double bed with painted iron bedstead, a lovely single pane window with net curtain and typical farm wooden shutter, looking out on the terrace, garden, pool and sea.

Yoga and meditation: Because of its location and the layout of the grounds, Quinta da Falésia could be an excellent venue for small groups wishing to practice both yoga and meditation during their holidays.

Golf: Quinta da Falésia is located between Boavista Golf Resort and the ocean. The nearest entrance to the resort is 3 minute drive away. The lay of the land at the Quinta enables those interested in practicing their game to use one area of it as a driving range. This option should be requested at the time of booking the holiday.

We booked this holiday home with 9 friends and we enjoyed it very much!

When you book a holiday, you often get to see some beautiful pictures of the holiday home, whereas in reality it can be disappointing. But not with Quinta da Falésia! It's absolutely lovely!

It's a charming farmhouse with a cozy and authentic character that gives a homy feeling. Their's a marvellous garden with biological swimming pool and great view at the sea. The ideal place to relax, to have a barbeque, to have a wine at the terrace,...!
The beautiful surroundings are very peaceful and quiet.

From the farmhouse it's only a 10min drive to the centre of Lagos, where you have shops, restaurants, etc. You can also walk to the beach (+/- 20min).

We can recommand this holiday home, especially to families/friends who are searching for a charming authentic place and who enjoy quietness and a beautiful nature.

Beautiful and Enjoyable Holiday at the Farmhouse

We stayed at the farmhouse in April, a beautiful time of year for the gardens. The pool/pond water was chilly, but swimable. It is difficult to find information on how far the beach is from the house. There is a beautiful walk along the ocean from the top of a cliff which is a few minutes from the house. However, to get down to a beach, it requires a short drive (therefore a car is necessary). Note the difference between "ocean" and "beach." The house itself is quaint and well equiped for all kinds of cooking. Nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen. The difficult part was that the house is cluttered with many trinkets/things, many of which are breakable. I had a hard time relaxing with my children being so near many breakables. When i tried to put away some of the items, there was no where to put them away since every inch of space is filled. While the house itself is quaint, we found ourselves most comfortable outside when it was sunny. Overall we had a great time there.
Owner's Response: It was very usefull to learn about the difficulty with breakables, however if these were found to be a problem because of the many young children, they could have been removed by the resident caretaker, Tania, on request. As for the information on how far the beach is from the house, this is clearly mentioned on the site, both the time to walk along the cliff path (25 mins.) or to drive (10 mins.) It is also indicated on the site that a car is necessary, the farmhouse is not in the centre of Lagos.
