CASA VELHA is the original farmhouse, owner occupied at times.It offers 4 bdrms and 2 shower rooms, sleeping up to 10 people, ground floor dining room with fireplace and comfortable sitting corner, large upstairs living room, windows overlooking biological pool, gardens,fig carob and almond trees and the ocean. Fully equipped kitchen leads to lge. terrace with 2 ivy covered eating/BBQ areas . Villa Pocilgo stands on the site of an old farm structure, next to the main house, Casa Velha, where owners reside at weekends. It features a very bright living room with open fireplace and two windows, two full size seating/sleeping divans, one small double settee and a fitted kitchenette/diner, leading to a bathroom and a large double bedroom. Outside there is a terrace featuring a pergola partly covered in grape producing vines, a built-in barbeque at one end and a dining table, large parasol and chairs at the other end. Ideal for romantic alfresco dining. It looks across a small Mediterranean garden to a lawn area, a lake (biological swimming-pool) and open land covered in almond and fig trees, with the ocean as a backdrop. The view from all rooms and terrace is panoramic and quite beautiful.

  • Prices quoted are for 2 people occupation. Additional guests up to 4 people total - 5% increase each.
    Cot provided free if booked in advance.
    A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm booking, the remainder plus 100€ security deposit against damages are due 3 weeks before arrival.
    Full refund of security deposit upon checking villa at departure.
  • Changeover day is Saturday, other days possible by arrangement.
    1/2 hour daily maid service for cleaning is included except on Sunday!!!! Bedclothes are changed weekly, towels twice weekly. Babysitting available, 7.50 euros/hour.
  • During Winter months (Dec,Jan,Feb,) there is a small daily charge for heating and firewood: 4 euros.

In the living room, under the windows on either side of the fireplace, there are two additional divan/settees with full size sprung mattresses. Bed linen provided is cotton, mostly fitted sheets and duvets with covers. All windows have solid wooden shutters.

Yoga and meditation: Because of its location and the layout of the grounds, Quinta da Falésia could be an excellent venue for small groups wishing to practice both yoga and meditation during their holidays.

Golf: Quinta da Falésia is located between Boavista Golf Resort and the ocean. The nearest entrance to the resort is 3 minute drive away. The lay of the land at the Quinta enables those interested in practicing their game to use one area of it as a driving range. This option should be requested at the time of booking the holiday.

Far from the Madding crowds........

Wonderful farm house with separate self catering apartments with spectacular sea views and lots of peace and quiet but only 5 mins from Lagos and all the bars and restaurants. Situated on a cliff with access to a beach along a cliff path .There is a wonderful ecological pond which is also used as a swimming pool so very natural and a refreshing change from a clorinated pool.
Friendly host and if you want something a little different you have found it here. Would highly recommend and would definately go back again.

We have tried, over the years, to create something special in this corner of the Algarve, secluded, in harmony with the beautiful nature that surrounds it and yet close to town with all its many attractions.

Beautiful hideaway cottage

The cottage was better than the photos show and we had a fantastic time staying there. The cottage was exceptionally clean with full self catering facilities including a barbeque with large patio area. It is a 2 min walk to the cliff top where the views are spectacular and you can take a 20 min walk across the cliff top to 2 beach restaurants (30 mins back!). The swimming pool is large and very interesting. Sunbeds are provided on the well maintained garden. It is a 5 min drive to a large supermarket where you can buy everything you need. We played an 18 hole round of golf at Boavista golf course which is also 5 mins away and has fantastic scenery. You can go dolphin watching in the ocean which is truly amazing and you need to go to the marina to book your ticket at around 30 euros each. You must hire a car and visit the many secluded beaches around the coast which are clean, quiet and pretty with great landscapes. Another worthwhile visit is to Monchique up in the mountain which is 30 min drive and there is a great spa where you can have an 'open-air' massage or just use the pool and sauna facilities. Lagos centre is only a 10 min drive away and there are plenty of restaurants and bars there for all ages and tastes. We would definitely return to this cottage and we had an amazing and relaxing trip and the owners are really helpful and friendly. Their 2 dogs are great fun too!
