Villa Adelia is a lovely holiday home sleeping 6-8 people. It is ideally situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just 20 minutes' walk from both the picturesque harbour town of Lagos and the gorgeous, sandy beach at Porto de Mós. The villa has two spacious, air conditioned bedrooms on the ground floor and a 'family suite' comprising two further air conditioned bedrooms on the first floor. It has a private pool and a large first floor terrace with a sea view - the perfect place from which to admire the Algarvenian sunsets. The villa stands on its own mature plot which is well fenced. The pool measures 8x4m and has a paved sunbathing and picnic area with plenty of sun beds. There is a built in brick barbecue adjacent to a separate landscaped area To the side of the property, external stairs give alternative access to the large upstairs patio and two of the bedrooms. There is a single car port and off road parking for a further car.

Notes to the rental rates

• Prices shown are for up to four people. Add £50 per extra person over four except 22 Jul to 31 Aug when price is for up to 8 people.
  
• Prices are in Pounds Sterling per week up to the number of people indicated. A 25% deposit is payable on booking, with the balance due a minimum of 8 weeks before departure. Utility costs for winter bookings are not included. There is a 10% surcharge for Christmas and New Year weeks, Easter and October half term.

Surrounding Area

Car hire is not essential for a holiday at Villa Adelia but is recommended to make the most of any stay. We can arrange this for you through a reliable local company with competitive rates, to collect and deliver at Faro Airport. Please enquire for details. The nearest golf course is the brand new 18-hole Boa Vista course which is just 5 minutes by car. There are several restaurants, cafes and a bar within a 700m walk of Casa Adelia. There is a mini market within easy walking distance and the nearest large supermarket (Intermarche) is a few minutes' drive away. The historic harbour town of Lagos offers a wide range of local and international restaurants as well as bars, clubs, shops and an active marina.

Further Afield

Local activities which can all be found in or around Lagos are horse riding, tennis, golf, bowls, sailing, boat trips, dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, jeep safaris, scuba diving and micro lighting, to mention but a few. A little further afield, on the road to the fishing village of Burgau, there is a sports centre offering tennis, squash, aerobics and a gym. There are two water-slide parks within easy reach and a visit to the Zoo Marine park is a must - swim with dolphins in a safe, controlled environment. A short drive north-west through the picturesque countryside leads to the wild and rugged West coast where deserted, secluded beaches can still be found even in the height of summer. A drive inland through olive groves and eucalyptus trees leads to the crystal clear waters of the Bravura Dam. A trip to Monchique with its picturesque spa town takes about 45 minutes through scenic countryside.

Nearest Beaches

Porto de Mós: A small bay between Luz and Lagos flanked by cliffs with a a beach bar and public facilities. Easy access from a car park right behind the sand, about 20 minutes' walk from Villa Adelia. Dona Ana: the most popular beach in the vicinity of Lagos, backed and flanked by steep cliffs, sheltered from the westerly winds. Accessed by steep steps, with a bar and restaurant at the top. There is a selection of similar small, picturesque coves between Dona Ana and Ponta Piedade. Meia Praia: A long, wide stretch of sand which can be seen across the bay from the Fortress in Lagos. No natural shade or shelter but one, or two excellent beach bars towards the Lagos end offering sunbeds and shades for hire. Excellent for water sports - waterskiing and windsurfing rentals are available in summer. Praia da Luz: A renowned beach. The long curve of sand starts right in front of the village of the same name, to the west of Lagos.
