A very comfortable and spacious family house, with a separate cottage, located in rural surroundings, approximately 5kms north west of Lagos. Built in 1997, both the main house and the cottage have recently been extensively refurbished. Large landscaped gardens, and exclusive use of the pebble stone pool, measuring 13.5m by 7.7m at the widest point. Very private yet only a few minutes drive from beaches, shops and restaurants, golf and tennis. Plenty of space for indoor and outdoor meals, including purpose built barbecue area. Gardens ideal for both sun and shade. Outdoor table tennis. The grounds are fenced, and the property is entered through electronically controlled gates. Maid service 3 times per week. Local English managing agent. In recent years the house, and grounds, have been the successful venue for numerous family holidays, adult getaways, professional photo shoots, and even a wedding.

Cruz de Pedra is a small development of seven houses, which do not overlook each other. The setting is rural and private, but not isolated.The lively towns of Lagos, and Praia da Luz, are within a few minutes drive, with a wide selection of shops, bars, and restaurants to suit all budgets. There are several safe beaches within a 10 minute drive, and numerous other beaches as you travel west, and get further off the beaten track. A wide variety of watersports are available. There are 2 good supermarkets a few minutes drive from the property. Boavista Golf and Tennis Resort is less than 10 minutes away, and other courses are within easy reach (Palmares, Penina, Parque de Floresta).

A perfect villa holiday - we were 2 families with two children under two plus entourage. The villa was great in every respect - practical for families yet smart and stylish. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms, we particularly liked the upstairs suite. The layout of the accommodation worked well for us. Everything you could imagine was provided for including a very detailed information pack. Amazingly lush gardens with exotic wildlife was fun for all to explore. The location provided easy access to a good selection of beaches and towns. We can highly recommend a private boat trip around the caves and a visit to the Waterpark. The two supermarkets were very handy and the cleaner was excellent. Overall a very stress-free and relaxing holiday at the villa, sadly one week was just not enough.

We arrived in May for a 2 week holiday with family and friends. When we arrived we were greeted by the maid and gardener who made us all feel very welcome.
This villa is is set in a tranquil location in the country- perfect for peace and quiet with a glorious garden that I wished I could transport home with me.
The pool was fantastic for the children, with beach supplies aplenty.
The house is beautifully decorated and feels like a home, which is not often the case in rented accomodation( an we have been to many).
The maid is a real gem, keeping the whole place spotless. I found the despription of the villa to be entirely accurate, although the garden is even better in the flesh than in the pictures.
We will certainly return, as this is the best accomodation we have had for a long time.
A car is a must.

No hidden nasties

This home is exactly as described on the website, there are no hidden nasties. Special requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Good directions as to how to find the property. Large, clean pool, lovely gardens with areas for sunbeds in sun and shade. Clean and well cared for property with everything in working order in a secluded, safe and peaceful area. Table tennis was entertaining for all ages 8 - 74! Large supermarket which has literally everything is just 15 mins away. Car is necessary. Help is quickly to hand if needed whilst you are at the property.
I would have liked to have had the option of a welcome pack available as our flight was delayed and we had to go straight out in the hope of finding somewhere open to eat late at night! The local campsite has a great buffet option for just such an occasion.
