Praia da Luz / Luz holiday villa

Just returned after 5 weeks stay in number 34 Ponta Da Gaivota and would highly recommend this villa.We did not want to return home. It is immaculately clean, very spacious, well equipped kichen, very comfortable sleeping accommodation, large pool which provides endless entertainment to all guests especially children. Our group comprised Granny, Grandad, Aunt, Cousin & our family of four children plus mum & dad! So we filled villa to capacity (10). One of the bedrooms can accommoate 4 as there are two pull out beds beneath the two single beds. The pull out beds were excellent- they converted into full size single beds which were perfect for our two youngest age 6 with plenty of room for our other two children also. Although there is no Air Conditioning the villa is comfortably cool - lots of airy living space.The villa is set in a beautiful location with spectacular sea views and very peaceful part of Luz. No need for car hire as everything is within 10- to 20 mins walking distance. Local supermarket Baptista delivers free of charge - we used this service frequently and found the service excellent, shopping was delivered within a couple of hours of purchase.We would recommend the following restaurants Fortaleza, Pairso, Dolphin, A Concha, Pizza Real, Royal Garden Chinese & The Duke. We have absolutely nothing negative to mention in this review. We have had a most enjoyable relaxing holiday and will certainly return to number 34 without hesitation. We were looking for a rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got. We didn't hire a car but got a taxi to Lagos on a few occasions and went to Zoomarine on the coach and took a walk to the beach a couple of times, but in the main were more than happy to stay at the villa, eating in a lot more than we have anywhere else. The villa was recommended to us by friends with young children but even our teenage children (14 & 17 years old) were happy, especially with the pool and Jacuzzi. There were 7 of us altogether in the villa and plenty of room for us. A great time was had by all, would love to go back again.
