Luxury air conditioned 2nd floor Apartment with sea views located near a secluded safe beach. Excellent facilities nearby inc mini market, restaurants and bars, 5 - 10 mins walk to a stunning sandy beach. The apartment has air conditioning/heating in the lounge and bedroom, a shower/bath and bidet, a fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, washer, cooker, oven and microwave. Amenities include free to air sky TV, CD/DVD player with many modern films. The south facing verandah is perfect for enjoying the Sundowner or evening meal. There are also many delightful cliff top walks to either Alvor or Praia da Rocha with many bars and restaurants on the way. For the golfer the famous Penina and Alto Golf Club courses are located nearby. This area is also popular with surfers.

Located between Alvor and Praia da Rocha the visitor can choose between Alvor's charm and tranquillity or Praia da Rocha's late night action. Both areas boast excellent sandy beaches with numerous bars, restaurants and shops ensuring a lively atmosphere in the warm evenings. Praia de Rocha also has lots of discos that stay open till very late. However if you are looking for activities Portimao has jet skis, water skiing and numerous other water sports available. The area is a golfers paradise with the Championship course at Penina, Alto and Gramacho all within a 5-10 minute drive. You could try the jeep safari into the Monchique mountain range or the international marinas at Lagos and Portimao. There are a number of historic places worth a visit including Lagos, Silves and Loule. Also there are water parks and the marine zoo nearby.

Our beach holiday

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was a good base from which to explore the local area and easy to find from the description. We took a couple of things with us for the children to play with at the beach (bucket & spade), but it was really nice to discover that there was already a selection of beach equipment there, including beach towels!! Most of all the children absolutely loved the green inflatable crocodile, which they had hours of fun with at the beach. We knew that the proprety didn't have a pool, and that would have been the icing on the cake, but we were more interested in the local beach (Vau) which was walking distance and very preaty. We would certainly consider returning in the future, and would have no hesitation in recommending your apartment to other potential holiday makers. No hick-ups at all; Maria was waiting for us on arrival and very helpful, making herself available should we have the need.
