Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments are located in up-market Oasis Parque – a newly developed, purpose built community of privately owned villas and apartments. Oasis Parque is situated on the western outskirts of Portimao and just a few minutes drive from the gorgeous beaches of Praia da Rocha and Alvor. The neighbouring apartments are on the first floor and have balcony views over the main pool. This makes them ideal for families or friends who want to holiday together without “living in each others pockets” – of course they can also be rented individually. Oasis Parque has superb leisure facilities including a very large outdoor pool, toddler pool, an indoor heated pool complex with Jacuzzi, tennis courts and children’s playground. The apartments are air-conditioned and have satellite TV providing access to UK free to air digital channels. There is also a PS/2 for games/DVD's and music. Completed in 2004, the apartments are air conditioned and fully equipped to an extremely high standard. The apartments are located on the first floor and are accessed by either key or entry phone. Allocated parking is adjacent to the properties. There are balconies to the front and rear and patio furniture is provided for guests' use. The back balcony (accessed from the lounge/diner) overlooks the main pool and tennis courts - great for keeping an eye on the kids! The kitchen has a gas/electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The large lounge is comfortably furnished to a high standard with leather suites and a dining table that can seat 6. There is a television with some English channels (to keep the kids happy while you’re lying in) and a PS/2 for games, Cd's and DVDs. There are two bedrooms; a double master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a twin bedroom. There is a separate shower room and toilet.

Oasis Parque is a 5 minute drive from junction 4 on the new A22 motorway which can be picked up within 10 minutes of leaving Faro Airport. There are a small number of very Portuguese bars/ restaurants and a large supermarket within a 5 minute stroll. Portimao is one of the major towns in the Algarve. As such it is typically Portuguese and mainly serves the local community with an array of shops, restaurants and a new marina. Alvor is a picturesque fishing village with narrow cobbled streets teaming with restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. Head to Praia da Rocha for its nightlife, new marina and casino! The Algarve is famous for its great beaches and there are some fantastic examples all within a 15 minute drive. For golfers Penina is 1 mile away and within a 15 minute drive you have 7 other great courses including Palmares and Vale da Pinta. Family fun can be found at Zoo Marine, Krazy World and Slide & Splash all a 10 to 20 minute drive from Oasis Parque.

The apartments are fantastic – well equipped. We all loved the pools and the jacuzzi. Tennis was very popular too. Great base from which to explore the Algarve and its many attractions. The kids loved zoomarine and slide & splash. The beaches are great particularly on the west coast – surfing geat at Praia de Amada. Would thoroughly recommend the boat trip into the caves from Praia de Ana. Loved the food at Piri Piri restaurant in Lagos. A very enjoyable holiday. The apartment was fantastic, we can’t fault it. We loved the pool and daily tennis game. The children enjoyed making new friends. We enjoyed Cape St. Vincent, lovely jewellery stall and beach and burger restaurant (1st from the end). We had a great day out at Krazyworld, enjoyed the boat trip from Lagos. The sand sculptures at the fiesa were spectacular. Loved Alvor and ate in lots of lovely restaurants our favourite was the terrace at Vagabonds. Such a great holiday we have already booked for next year.
