One bedroom self catering apartment set within a secure private complex in an excellent location only 300 metres from the beach and 3 minute walk to the centre of the village. It's location provides easy access to a number of top golf courses. The complex has a lovely garden area, which surrounds the 2 swimming pools. Accommodation consists of one double bedroom, a bathroom, a living room area with a dining table and a sitting areas that has 2 sofas. The kitchen has all mod cons and the balcony has grest views of the sunsets in the late, spring, summer & early Autumn. We provide bath towels, sheets, we have 2 types of heating, air-conditioning, a washing machine, 4 ring hob, an oven, a micro wave, CD Played, radio, DVD player, Satellite TV SKY, hair dryer, a safe, iron & Ironing board. We can organize transport from the airport if required

Alvor is a small fishing village, 45 mins drive from Faro airport with beautiful sandy beach that 4km long and has great facilities for eating and having a few drinks. Alvor has traditional cottages, cobbled streets, and picturesque harbour area with amazing sunsets all of this adds to Alvor unique charm. The Village has an excellent selection selection of restaurants with a wide variety of choice and the standard of food and service is very high. The bars are varied, with a good choice of live music. Alvor has facilities for tennis, windsurfing, and golfers are well catered for. Children will also be entertained at the numerous theme parks and water parks, at slide & splash, zoo marine and the agave shopping centre.

Alvor: The Algarve has a temperature climate almost all year round and boasts about 300 days of sunshine. Tourist season extends from March to October and it only really quietens down in winter. The wonderful sandy beaches of the Algarve are unspoilt and amongst the best in the world.

Local Food & Drink : The local food just has to be tried, with fresh fish straight from the mornings catch. Most restaurants have charcoal grills, producing some of the best food of the region. There is also a good selection of Italian & Pizza restaurants, Chinese Indian's and good Steak Houses. A lot of the bars have live music. There are also quieter bars for those who prefer the sound of good conversation.

Shopping: Typical tourist Shops in Alvor, For A good days shopping go to the Algarve shopping center open 10.00 - 22.00 in the winter and till Midnight in the summer. There are plenty of shops and food eatery/restaurants.

My husband and I are regular visitors to Alvor and we can highly recommend this property. It's location is ideal, close to the town and beach. It is a very comfortable apartment, well maintained and clean.
Alvor itself is a small fishing village with plenty of restaurants and bars. All the restaurants are children friendly and welcome large families.
We can recommend Chef Joao for fish lovers, Adega do Alvor and Dom Pippas who cater for all tastes.
Then you can have a walk along the harbour and maybe a nightcap at one of the comfortable bars there and then a stroll back to the apartment, bliss!

Tourist but still feel part of the Town

I stayed here in 2007 and was pleasantly surprised by the location , we were in a lovely complex with a great pool very near the Sea and yet we still felt we were part of the town, everything was in walking distance. The Town has so much to offer, great restaurants and Bars. It's mainly a fishing village totally unspoilt by tourism. The Beach is 5 Star with crystal clear water, golden Sand ideal for walking, Children or soaking up the Sun
The apartment was exceptionally maintained, clean and very Safe. The whole complex is top drawer and was topped off with some very nice people we met there.
Cant wait to back there....
