I was more than pleased with the lovely apartment of SOL AG. It was spotlessly clean with everything that you want, even down to DVDs, CDs, books and games. It was furnished in a modern, tasteful manner with cosy sofas, comfortable beds complimented by some beautiful photos of the area.
The facilities of the complex were excellent with a sauna, squash court and games room plus a really good sized pool where you can actually swim.
Being self catering, it was great to have a supermarket at the bottom of the road (a few minutes walk) which also has a fresh meat and fish counter. A few more minutes walking takes you to all the other shops.
Although I hired a car for sightseeing, I could easily walk to either the beach, the old town of Albufeira or the modern part of the town. There are loads of great restaurants and bars very nearby catering for different tastes. And when it is time to come back, it is easy to get a taxi.
The company that arranged the holiday were extremely efficient being on the end of the phone if needed; often a worry when you are renting and not sure how to use the washing machine!
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wanted to feel like they were at home but actually on holiday.
