Superb seafront location, close to beach and amenities
Situated in a brand new residential and holiday complex, these modern, self catering apartments offer an excellent standard of accommodation and any visitor cannot fail to be impressed with the superb decor and furnishings. However, best feature has to be the spectacular sea front location and views of the River Formosa which can be seen from all balconies! Their location is perfect for those wishing to be based close to amenities with beach access less than 1 minute walk away and an abundance of reasonably priced restaurants in very close proximity. Apartments are offered for rental individually. However, as they are located directly adjacent to each other, could be rented together to accommodate larger families or groups wishing to share their holiday whilst retaining some privacy. Some discount will be offered for a double rental, details available upon request.

This beautiful apartment is perfect for couples or a small family and can accommodate up to 4 people. All rooms are accessed from the main hallway. The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer and has a breakfast bar. The bathroom has shower and bath with WC, sink and bidet. Water is gas heated. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and 2 single beds with a sea facing window. The lounge has a dining table and a comfortable sofa which also converts to extra sleeping space. Bed linen is available for up to 4 people. TV and DVD player. Sea facing lounge patio window with terrace area. Secure apartment access through locked entrance leading to front door. Designated underground parking. No stairs to apartment, but there are stairs from the parking area.

Cabanas de Tavira is a small and friendly village with a reliance on the fishing industry. With a wide choice of restaurants, several shops and a variety of Portuguese bars, this is a generally peaceful location without a 'heavy tourist' approach. The beautiful beach island is located across the Ria Formosa and is reached by small and inexpensive water taxis running from the edge of the river, directly opposite the apartments. For the keen golfer, there are 6 superb courses within a 45 km radius. There are also some wonderful places close by to visit. Tavira around 6km is a must, see further details section for more information. Beaches are in abundance up and down the coast and within a close radius. As well as Cabanas Island, a few kms to the East Altura and Praia Verde are highly recommended, and Barril to the West of Tavira (8kms) of which the small beach train is a delight for children! The best shopping is to be found in Faro and zoos and water parks towards Albufeira

Cabanas Beach Island
The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the beach of Cabanas is no exception. As a naturally formed island separated from the mainland by the River Formosa, it is reached by catching a small and inexpensive water taxi from a designated point in the small harbour. A good range of facilities is offered including snack bars, sun beds for hire and a wonderful holiday atmosphere amongst golden sands and the rolling Atlantic Ocean. There are a number of other beaches in close proximity and all worth a visit! Praia Verde, Manta Rota, Altura and Tavira Island are within a 20km radius.
Acitiviites & Things To Do
Cabanas itself is not overflowing with things to do - this is a leisurely resort that offers relaxation. There are a number of excellent restaurants at which to dine and the Portugese always cater well for children. We can particularly recommend 'O Pedro' and 'Mariscos and Petiscos'. Each is situated at either end of the sea front being around 20 minutes apart on foot. There are a number of traditional bars and Tascas and certainly the most cosmopolitan bar in the resort is 'Quasimodo's' where you can enjoy a cocktail or drinks in a large and comfortable air conditioned bar overlooking the beach. Tavira Town
When staying in Cabanas a visit to Tavira is essential. This famous & beautiful town is located in the heart of the Eastern Algarve only 30km from Faro Airport and 30 km form the Spanish border. From the apartments, approximately 6km. As one of the region's oldest and most attractive areas, you cannot fail to be enthralled by its charm, character and tranquility. Once known as the capital of the Algarve, you'll see an abundance of history - a Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants. As well as viewing the many fine C18th building and churches (27 in total!), you can visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park. There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce, and the local beach of Tavira accessible by small ferry boat and boast excellent facilities and a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
