Annie & Barry extend a warm welcome to you at their Quinta, and are always on hand to ensure that you enjoy your stay to the full. Set amongst orange groves in beautiful countryside, with distant views of the hills and mountains of the Algarve, Quinta Palmeiras, or ‘House of the Palms‘is a delightful location for your next holiday. You could simply relax and top up your tan, with the odd trip to the bar for a cold drink, or perhaps you would prefer a day on one of the stunningly beautiful beaches in the area, ranging from miles of golden sand with full amenities, to tiny secluded coves with a bar offering delicious freshly caught fish. Nature lovers will delight in the exotic plants and wildlife that flourish in the area, whilst golfers have a choice of 23 world-class courses all within easy reach. In short the Portuguese Algarve has something for everyone. There are 2 family apartments in the main quinta, and for couples/young families there are two semi-detached cottages.

For 2 people + small child. Comfortable self contained one bedroom accommodation with twin beds. Kitchen/diner with dining table/chairs, and settee. Full equiped for self catering with cutlery, crockery, cooking hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and fridge freezer. There is even a juicer to make fresh orange juice from the oranges in our own groves. Towels are provided, but not for pool or beach use. Private outside terrace, with table, chairs, and umbrella. A hire car can be easily organised, supplied by a local and reliable company. Most hirers DO NOT have cars at the airport, you have to wait for a bus to take you to a compound outside of the airport, and queue to do the paperwork. This can delay the start of your holiday, and on returning the car you have to take it back to the compound and get a bus back to the airport. Our company will have your car waiting at the airport - SIMPLE, and at CHEAPER prices than the internet !

Our little bit of paradise is centrally located amongst the orange and lemon groves of Portuga'ls Algarve. Quinta Palmeiras is only a 10 minutes drive to the historic town and castle of Silves. Here there are first class restaurants, pavement cafes and bars, and excellent shopping facilities with a wonderful market selling organic fresh fruit, vegetables, meat & fish, which all goes to make the town a joy to explore. The beach of Armacao de Pera is only 15 minutes away, offering a good choice of bars and fish restaurants set on miles of golden sand, water sports, and sun beds. Close-by there are many stunning secluded 'secret' coves, ideal for chilling out with a good book, or just simply soaking up the sun for that perfect tan. The young at heart are less than 10 min drive from some fabulous water theme parks, for the fearless there are some scary rides to tackle, or gentler ones for the toddlers. To the North are the Monchique Mountains with breathtaking views all over the Algarve.

  • WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO NEGOTIATE FAVOURABLE RATES FOR LONGER, OUT OF SEASON LETS.
    The prices are in euros, and show the cost per week for the accommodation, and NOT the price per person. As cheaper mid-week flights are generally available we are happy to be flexible with our letting periods, and do not insist on Saturday to Saturday lettings.
    PAYMENT: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required TO CONFIRM your booking, and the balance is due in euros, on arrival.
  • FOR HIRE: The following items should be pre-booked, otherwise they are subject to availability:
  • Put-u-up bed - 50 euros per week (approx.34 pounds), Baby Cot - 20 euros per week (approx.14 pounds), Fans - 15 euros per week (approx.10 pounds), Cool Boxes and Ice Packs for the beach - 3 euros (2 pounds) per day, Washing Machine - 7 euros per load (4.80 pounds).

THEME HOLIDAYS:: From time to time we plan special 'theme' holidays. The last one was in November when we had a beginners painting group here. We organised the tuition, and transport was laid on to various locations. As the group was elderly we laid on breakfast, packed lunch and escorted them everywhere, including some fabulous, but inexpensive local restaurants. It was a great success, to be repeated in 2008. Tell us what interests you and maybe we can organise something, photography, organised walks, deep sea fishing, bowls? nos esperamos se encontrar logo - we hope to meet you soon. We hope we have tempted you to come and stay with us, and promise a warm welcome and a few glasses of vinho by the pool. Portugal as it should be

The only thing this holiday didn't have was jam on it - simply fantastic, so much so we're going back in a few weeks with the kiddievinkles.

The owners (Barry & Annie) are absolute stars who did everything they could to make our stay as good as it was.

The accomodation was spotless, the pool was a Godsend and Barry managed to sort out a great deal with a local hire car company.

The BBQ evening was an excellent get together with great food and appropriate beverages :O)

The bar next to the pool was an inspired addition to the facilities.

The Quinta is set amongst quiet fields and orange / lemon tree groves with no passing traffic.

Silves; Amaceo De Perra beach; train station, Aqua Land bus service, local shops/cafes and lots of other attractions/facilities are all nearby.

We found out too late that Barry has a secret - he loves the Friday night Karaoke in one of the Silves bars - we're going to find out if this is true on our next visit, when we'll try every trick in the book to get Annie up and singing ABBA!

This fantastic holiday in this beautiful rural setting does come with 2 caveats though:-

(1) You will need a car.

Don't worry, Barry has contacts at rates cheaper than we could find and the hire company guy's were great - and 2 minutes walk across the airport car park!

(2) You will not want to go home!

We've been all across the Algarve several times but this is one visit that stands out above the rest and for all the right reasons.

I've already recommended this place to friends :O)

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing holiday at Quinta Palmeiras Holiday cottage one. We couldn't have asked for better hosts in Barry and Annie nothing was too much trouble for them. We very much enjoyed our time with them relaxing round the pool and out patio. Driving out during the day everything we needed was close by. We felt we didn't want to come home. Thanks again Barry and Annie.

Absolutely FANTASTIC ! What a gem Annie & Barry are. The ideal setting and place for a seriously good holiday, it has something for everyone, couples or families. Always a great bunch of people staying for nights to remember in the bar. Our third visit and certainly not the last - see you next year for our annual 'fix'.
