Casa Vida Nova Cottage is set in a secluded rural location yet easily accessable only 20 minutes from Faro Airport. The cottage has its own private swimming pool with wooden decking and trellesing so as you are not overlooked. Surrounding gardens are filled with many tranquil plants and bamboo trees, as well as almond, fig and plum trees, you also have a large double B.B.Q which is set under a grand Oak tree which sets those warm summer evenings even more pleasable. Wooden decking is outside the cottage with Gazebo with lights and candles for the warm evenings and even wonderful sunshine mornings. The cottage itself is very well equiped and all our guests have commented that all their needs have been catered for. It has lounge/diner with antique woodburner {for winter bookings}, well equiped kitchen area, bathroom and good size double bedroom. Linen, towels and pool towels are provided. Sao Bras is perfect for that step back in time, as yet unaffected by tourisum.

Sao Bras is a traditional Portuguese Village with Shops, Cafe bars, Rrestaurants and other ameneties are conveniently located in nearby Village Centre which is only 15 minutes walk away or 4 minutes by car. The area of Sao Bras is characterised by the tranquil unhurried lifestyle. Many of the paths are the old cobbled casada stone which gives the village its rustic characta. The village is famous for its Cork and the History of this can be found in the Museum which is a 5 minute walk away and a little further an outside municiple swimming pool with its wonderful gardens and bar are all worth a visit. A second Museum is under way which will consentrate on being an Agricultural Museum. Sao Bras has its own covered market selling fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegtables daily, Saturdays have extended market where more locals sell even more. Superb Golf courses are easy accesable such as Vctoria Golf Club{which hosts the Algarve World Cup November 2005} Vale do Lobo, Villamora & many more

  • A NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of total price is required to secure your booking.
    The final balance is due 8 weeks prior to your stay.
    In the case of late bookings a mutual deposit will be discussed and balance on arrival.
    A CHQ of 100.00 pounds is required on arrival and would be returned to yourselves at end of your stay providing no breakages or damage to cottage.
    Although the cottage is easily found from the airport some clients wish to be met from the airport as to start their holiday with no stress as driving different side of road and not too familiar with the area so a charge of 20.00 euros is required { each way} for this service.

EATING OUT: Eating Out in our local restaurants which are very close and excellent value which many of our guests have enjoyed immensely. If you feel you can drag yourselves away from the swimming pool,gardens & barbecue here are just a few great restaurants to sample:- the closest to the cottage even by foot is 5mins away is BomAmigo chinese which you will always be greeted by very friendly owners. A little further is Churrasqueira Luis{Chicken Luis} specialty chicken piri piri a meal for two&wine for as little as 12 Euros,it is not only famous for the chicken but a full menu of many fish is also available.CLOSED MONDAYS. They also do a take away. A car or taxi is required for the next restaurant {one of our ultimate favourites} Gracianos for you meat eaters steak on the stone is a must & they also have vegetarian menu.CLOSED WEDNESDAY To not confuse or bombard you with every nearby restaurant many cards, maps and information of surrounding eating places are all left in the cottage for you.

Stayed in this cottage a few times now - just love it.
Nothing is too much trouble for John and Yvette they both make you feel very welcome or on other hand are very discreet if it is privacy you are looking for. The pool area and gardens are lovely and are very private. The town of Sao Bras is just 10 mins walk away. Have already booked weekend in February 2008 and looking forward to seeing John Yvette and Carlos (thats the dog). Would definitely recommend this property as it has everything you need for
a relaxing holiday and as a base for exploring the area.

I really enjoyed staying here it is perfect for total relaxation.
The cottage was lovely and clean and John & Yvette have thought of everything you may need for your stay.
The pool and grounds are exactly what we wanted.
The local restaurants are only a ten minute walk and there is a good variety to choose from at very reasonable prices too.
John & Yvette are fantastic hosts and I would definately return.

The cottage, gardens and wonderful pool area were exactly as described in the information, John and Yvette were so kind and helpful to us throughout our stay, the cottage was spotlessly clean and the pool was absolutely fantastic - we enjoyed our stroll through the beautiful gardens to arrive at our little piece of 'away from it all' heaven. We walked ten minutes into the town every evening to eat at one of the several restaurants available - they were all extremely good value. We would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a restful holiday yet within easy travelling distance to explore the Algarve by car.

My Girlfriend and I were looking for a perfect getaway and boy did we find it! Beautiful cottage with stunning gardens and a private pool! What more could you ask for?

The town of Sao Bras is a few minutes walk and has everything you could possibly need. Including the now world famous Chicken Luis! An absolute must!

We instantly fell in love with it and with our hosts too. Yvette and John made our holiday even better that we hoped it would be. We cannot recommend it enough and could not have asked for more welcoming or selfless hosts or a more beautiful place to stay.

We cannot wait to come back. Thank you both again. x

The title said it all. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in John & Yvettes cottage so that should say it all. The setting is perfect, the property is excellent and with its extensive gardens and fantastic pool you really could not stay anywhere better. John & Yvette could not make it anymore comfortable, they really have thought of everything to make your stay as peaceful and relaxing as possible. The walk to the local shops and restaurants is 10 minutes (and I am a slow walker). The swimming pool and gardens are fantastic which is why we keep going back. Thank you John & Yvette for creating this peice of heaven. xx
