Albufeira Town & Marina holiday apartment

We really enjoyed our stay in this little apartment. Very well positioned between the Old Town and the Strip, although it's probably closer to 20 minutes to both rather than 10 (as stated above), but still easily walking distance. Speaking of walking distance, the supermarket is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment, and is huge with fresh produce stocked everyday except Sunday, but the supermarket across the road was open and just as good!

Many lovely beaches, bars and restaurants found in both Old Town and New. We had several really nice meals in the Old Town, where the evening entertainment carried on until the early hours of the morning. So much going on at any one time! We stayed the weekend of the Festa do Pescador in the Old Town where live music, food stalls and drink stalls were all put out and free to access. We met some friendly locals who recommended trying some of the food and drink there and had a great time!

As for the apartment itself, it's set in a quiet place with cars going by occasionally but, importantly, not very often at night. Daily rubbish collections outside too. Be warned that when we visited, there was no kettle - just a saucepan and a gas hob! Also, the bathroom flooded once after taking a bath, clearly where the sheer volume of water being drained was too much for the pipes.

But even this cannot detract anything from the Excellent rating. I would highly recommend this property for people seeking a getaway which is well-located near beaches, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and, well, basically everything!
