This striking 2 bedroom. 2 bathroom apartment has a really enormous balcony & fabulous views to open countryside with the sea beyond. There is a high spec Fully Fitted kitchen including built in oven & hob, dishwasher,w/machine and microwave.The furnishings are stunning & chic & include a hand crafted solid wood dining table and 6 chairs with matching TV unit & coffee table, a Divani designed 3 seater caramel double sofa bed & a matching armchair, all located in the large L shaped open plan lounge/dining room. The spacious master bedroom has a Portuguese style double bed & a matching 5 drawer chest of drawers & bedside cabinets. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 Portuguese style single beds & a matching 5 drawer chest. There are 2 built in wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom has a white porcelain 5 piece suite. The second bathroom has a 4 piece suite. There are 4 patio doors from the kitchen, the lounge and both bedrooms all leading to the impressive balcony.

This exclusive development of 75 apartments is situated in the Prime Location of Monte Balaia Vale Navio a pretty village surrounded by orange groves but within strolling distance of Albufeira to the right and Olhos D'Agua to the left. You can see the sea clearly from the apartment block and the nearest beach is a 7 minute walk. Bars, shops and restaurants as well as 2 supermarkets are very close by. One of the most stunning beaches in the Algarve is only a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive from the apartment and this is in Olhos D'Agua where you will also find many fabulous restaurants, bars and shops. Balaia Golf Village is situated next door to the apartment and there are many more golf courses within a 10 minute drive such as the Quinto do Lago and Vale do Lobo as well as the courses in and around Vilamoura. Kadoc night club featuring DJ Roger Sanchez is close by at the entrance to Vilamoura and there are many other clubs in Albufeira, notably Kiss Disco, La Bamba, and Renos.

  • The apartment will sleep 6 people comfortably but it would also be possible to sleep 2 small children as well. If a cot is required then this can be supplied. The master bedroom containing a stylish queen size bed & has an immaculate en-suite in white porcelain consisting of a full size bath, shower, wash basin, bidet and toilet. The patio doors leading to the balcony have superior white blinds that are closed electronically. The second bedroom is of an equal size and the second bathroom, also in white porcelain, is situated immediately across the hallway. Again the white blinds outside the patio doors are closed electronically as are the blinds in the lounge and kitchen. The well presented and spacious lounge has a large quality 3 seater settee which easily converts into a double bed with a thick comfortable mattress. You cannot tell that the contemporary settee doubles as a sofa bed. There is also a concealed wardrobe and drawers in the hallway in order to hang and store clothes.

Two pools set in the beautiful landscaped gardens: On the spacious balcony there is a quality garden table and 6 chairs as well as 2 sun beds and parasol. Using the lift or the 2 flight of stairs you can access the gardens and two pools via ornamental paths. The terraces around the pools are ideal for sunbathing or lying in the shade under a parasol. There is also secure underground car parking. Nearby are water parks as well as Zoomarine which is set in 8 hectares. Here you will find a marine zoo and shows with emphasis on the preservation of marine life. You can even interact with the dolphins. Praia Da Oura is famous for 'The Strip'. a street with a huge variety of restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs. This is situated a maximum of 20 minutes walk from the apartment but there are also free buses that will collect and drop you off near to the apartment at all times of the day and night.

Beaches and views: From the balcony you have fabulous views of the surrounding countryside which include the many orange trees and olive and carob trees in the neighbouring fields. To the right of the apartment block there are clear views of the sea and the view along the balcony is to the tennis courts and the small short country road which runs to the road where you turn left to Olhas D'Agua or right to Albufeira. It is just a 5 minute drive to the beautiful blue flag beach of Falesia. The picturesque golden sandy beach of Olhos D'Agua is a 2 minute drive or can be reached in 20 minutes by foot. In the opposite direction to the west are the beaches of Santa Eulalia, a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk and the nearest beach, Prai De Oura, is across the country road down the path which also leads to 'Club Med' and this is reached from the apartment by strolling for 10 minutes. There are many other local attractive beaches in the Albufeira such as Praia de Sao Rafeal and Praia de Castelo to name but two

The spacious master bedroom has a Portuguese style double bed with a wooden headboard and base and a matching 5 drawer chest of drawers and bedside cabinets The second bedroom is furnished with 2 Portuguese style single beds with wooden headboards and base. There are 2 built in wardrobes.

Golf: The Balaia Golf Course is situated right next door to the apartment and the world renowned Millennium Golf resort and Victoria golf club are nearby as are the courses at the Quinta Da Lago and Vale De Lobo as well as Penina and Sao Lourenzo. Presently there are 28 golf courses within a half hour's drive and there are more under construction. Balaia Golf Course has its own award winning, testing, executive 9 hole course, with distances ranging from 67 to 160 metres. There is a driving range, a practice bunker, chipping and putting greens. An impressive club house with a large terrace overlooking the first tee, has a restaurant, reception, pro shop, club hire, trolleys and lockers. Over the last few years the Portuguese Open has been hosted variously at Penina, Vila Sol and Sao Lourenzo, all of which may be included in the list of top European championship courses. Warm playing conditions and immaculately manicured fairways and greens are the norm in the Algarve. Whatever your level of skills or dedication there is a course for you in the Algarve. Top European tour players come to the Algarve, both for the Portuguese Open and to enjoy the excellent conditions. There are plenty of golf shops, academies and driving ranges. Albufiera is situated close to three main courses, Salgados, Balaia and Sheraton Pine Cliffs all within five minutes drive. A real golf enthusiasts paradise!

A wonderful apartment in a wonderful location!

I cannot recommend this apartment, the area of Balaia or the service that we had from the owner enough.
The booking process was effecient and we were given a prompt response to all our questions, help booking taxis etc.
The apartment itself is spacious and well laid out - being equiped with all the mod cons that you would need to make you stay enjoyable.
The apartment and the commual areas are spotless clean and well maintained.
The pool was just right - very quiet, never needing to set your alarm to put towels on the sunbeds!!
The apartment is located along a quiet road - ensuring that all those who stay have a relaxing and stress free holiday. However, the restuarants within walking distance are superb. Also nearby is a beautiful beach - with lovely coves that we had to ourselves for the afternoon.
There are two well stocked supermarkets nearby and the local transport is reliable and will take you along the Algarve should you wish.
Within walking distance is a lovely small fishing village - ideal to sit and watch the world go by!
Albuferia is easily accessible by both bus and local taxis (taxi fare 5€). The "Old Town" well worth a visit - The Strip will make you realise how lucky you were to book the apartment in Balaia!

I have to agree with you that the apartment is in a brilliant location being in a quiet and peaceful location yet only a few minutes walk from excellent restaurants, shops and beaches.Then you have the choice of busy Albufeira or picturesque Olhos D'Agua just a short taxi drive (or indeed a 30 minute walk) away for lively night life or just to enjoy a classically beautiful beach and enjoy dinner on the beach. I am so pleased that you had a wonderful time.

Lovely Apartment in Quiet Location

We have just returned from a week in Balaia and found the apartment to be ideal for us and our 4 young kids. It was spacious, well laid out and had all mod cons. The pools were spotless and the kids loved them. We especially liked the space around the pools so they could run about safely. As we didn't have a car and had a double buggy to push, it was a bit of a hike to the nearest beach at Club Med, but it was worth the trek as the beach was lovely. The Intermarche supermarket was only 10 mins walk away and had everything we needed to keep the kids happily chomping. We found that Jollies had by far the best food in the area and they made us feel very welcome. The only down side I would say is that there was very little to keep the kids occupied in the local area in the evening (we thought a local hotel may have had some entertainment but we couldn't find any). We did take a trip into Albufeira Old Town which was really good and had loads of attractions for the kids.
If I could make a suggestion, it would be to provide a small binder in the apartment with directions to the nearest beaches, best restaurants, how to work air-conditioning, gas boiler, intercom, doctors number, Fire/Police etc - simple instructions which although we got most in various emails from you, may be useful in the apartment itself? We had an incident where a resident in the apartment below turned all the gas taps on (they hadn't used gas before) and returned to Norway. An English couple had to ask a Portugese family to contact the Fire Brigade about the smell of gas, the building was evacuated and The Fire Brigade got the cleaners to provide keys so they could access all the apartments and find out where the gas was! Drama in Balaia!!

I have provided guest information left in the apartment previously but I find that it disappears so I now send information about the local araea and recommended restaurants and nearby beaches etc by email.
I do agree with you that Jollies is indeed one of the best restaurants in the area for excellent food at very good prices and Jackie and Jose are great hosts.

Lovely holiday in lovely apartment

Enjoyed a lovely 2 week stay in this apartment. Apartment is set in a lovely quiet area, you can sit on the balcony to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy a really peaceful experience and some lovely views.
Apartment generally very well fitted out and very clean, with lovely pool and great tennis court, only comment would be perhaps a few more serving dishes, and cooking dishes for oven would be useful for when you eat in.
The air con in the bedrooms was not really effective, which meant they were a little uncomfortable to sleep in when it was really hot, which it was when we visited. Air con machine in the lounge worked well, so perhaps the ones in the bedrooms just need servicing.
There is a supermarkert very close to apartment but would strongly advise going to Lidl at Albuferia if you are doing a big shop as you will get your shopping for 30-40% cheaper and the quality of the produce at Lidl is excellent. Taxi to/from Lidl is only about 5 euros so still well worth doing this even if you dont have a car, as u will still save a fortune.

I would def recommend staying here, its great value and a lovely place to enjoy a holiday.

I have already asked the engineer to look at both air conditioning units in the bedrooms and thanks for letting me know about the dishes and I will be buying some more when I am there in a couple of weeks.
I am really pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and I totally agree with you that the apartment is in a peaceful location with lovely views but it is also very close to the beaches, restaurants and cafe bars as well as Vilamoura and Albufeira.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The apartment and the communal areas are clean and well maintained. It's in an excellent location - close to Albufeira but still quiet and within easy reach of some lovely beaches. We liked the beach at Falesia. There are some great restaurants close by and the local supermarket stocks everything you would need. Zoomarine is well worth a visit too. Discount tickets are available in some of the local shops. Cheaper to buy before you go. I would (and have) recommend this apartment and would certainly holiday there again. Thanks Penny.

Brilliant Balaia!

Have just returned from a week in this lovely part of the Algarve. The luxurious apartment was simply a delight. Anything we might have needed was available. We particularly liked the shutters, to keep the intense sun out of the apartment by day and of course the air-conditioning was a bonus! It was particulary hot - 38-40 degrees most days so we needed the relief!
Balaia is a lovely area, ideally situated near local friendly restaurants (my daughter loved the steak!) and beaches and not too close to the noise and mayhem of the Albufeira strip during the day, but easily accessible at night for a bit of lively entertainment. The only difficulty was the local shop being 200 yards away, which is ok by car in intense July heat but on foot it seemed a lot further I can tell you! At least we had the glorious pool to dive into on our return! Apart from that minor quibble, it was the perfect apartment in the perfect location. We loved it, and would highly recommend it. We fully intend to stay again.

I also agree that the walk to the supermarket can take a few minutes but I wonder whether you found the nearest one which is on the road to Club Med? This is a 5 minute stroll across the road from the apartment. Then, there is another supermarket a 10 minute stroll to the right of the apartment and a large hypermarket to the left of the apartment, a 15 minute walk along the road to Olhos D'Agua. I am delighted that you enjoyed the apartment and that you had such a fabulous time. I look forward to your repeat booking which will attract a discount as all repeat bookings do.
