Completed only in May 2003 this is a luxury ground floor apartment. The apartment is close to all the amenities of the village including the swimming pools, and a only a few minutes walk to the lovely 9 hole Golf course at Balaia, restaurant, health club, gym tennis courts and reception area. The two bedrooms are both fitted with ample drawer and wardrobe space and with the main bedroom having en-suite bath and shower facilities. In the lounge/dining area there is a TV with English (includes main terrestrial, Sky and Sky sports) channel. There is a double sofa bed allowing up to six people to share the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances and equipment. A separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble drier. There is plenty of patio furniture. Bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

The Balaia Golf Village with its testing 9-hole Golf Course, sits between the pretty seaside fishing village of Olhos da Agua and the golden sandy beaches of Praia D'Oura. The low level layout of the resort includes extensive well maintained gardens, mature trees, and plenty of areas for both sun worshippers and those seeking some shade. Peace and quiet for those that want it; golf tennis and a choice of swimming pools for those who want to be more active. It is a comfortable ten minutes ride to lively Albufeira and within easy reach of Vilamoura, Vale de Lobo and many main Golf Courses in the Algrave. It is approximately a 2hr 45 min flight from UK airports to Faro and around a 35 minute drive from Faro Airport to Balaia Golf Village.

Notes: This accommodation is very family orientated as there is a choice of 6 swimming pools 4 tennis courts and for adults there are indoor pool/jacuzzi/steam room and gym facilities. Please no smoking inside the apartment , but you are very welcome to smoke on the terraces. Maid service and linen/towel, included in the rental, however additional laundry cleaning can be arranged and paid for when booking. For the golfer enthusiast this complex boasts a beautiful 9 hole course on site with driving range and golf academy/pro shop. The reception is open 24 hours. Please note air-conditioning is either payable on booking or payable locally please enquire about price.

There is on site Management and an excellent 24hr. reception, where you can change money, book taxis, book airport transfers, arrange baby sitting, hire cots etc. You will find them always most helpful. Reception also has an Internet facility for guests. The village has its own range of shops adjacent to the main village entrance, comprising a supermarket, newsagent, gift shop, hairdressing salon and beauty salon. You will also find the villages own A Varanda restaurant providing a range of food and drink from simple snacks to gourmet meals, often enhanced with live music in the evenings. Two of the swimming pools and the Clubhouse also have restaurants /snack bars. There is a minibus service running from the Village into Albufeira Old Town.

Golf: Balaia Golf Village has its own award winning, testing, executive 9 hole course, with distances ranging from 67 to 160 metres. You must wear proper golf shoes fitted with soft spikes to play this course. There is no handicap requirement. Once you have a confirmed reservation for the apartment, you can book tee times with the Golf Shop, in person or by phone (00351) 289 5700 442. There is a driving range, a practice bunker, chipping and putting greens. An impressive club house with a large terrace overlooking the first tee, has a restaurant, reception, pro shop, club hire, trolleys and lockers. Golfing lessons in a group or individually are available. There are several international standard courses within 15km of the village. Again you must wear proper golf shoes fitted with soft spikes to play these courses. They all have handicap requirements, generally (but not universally) 28 for men and 36 for ladies and you must present your authorised handicap card.
