South facing, first floor two bedroom apartment situated on the beautiful, family friendly complex of 'Clube Albufeira' close to the Old Town of Albufiera and Fisherman's Beach. The apartment has a fully fitted and equiped kitchen with microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, and hob. Separate utility area with washing machine, iron and board. Spacious lounge/dining area with sofa bed, traditional Portuguese wood burner and patio doors leading onto large south facing balcony with patio furniture and pleasant views towards Albufeira and the coast. Two twin bedrooms with free air conditioning.

Club Albufeira is situated just a few minutes drive from the Old Town centre and its famous Fishermans beach and narrow cobbled streets with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. A courtesy bus service operates 4 times daily from the Club reception to the Old Town and public transport is also available right outside the gate making car hire not essential. On site restaurants and snack bars, and nearby supermarket are all within easy walking distance. There are 3 gorgeous swimming pools (1 heated) also onsite and a childrens play area. The 24 hour reception desk can arrange day trips to all local attractions, and the locally based manager can organize airport pickups, golf days and welcome food boxes. Only 5 minutes away is the popular 'Algarve Shopping Centre' with numerous designer shops, discount retail outlets, bowling and cinema.

Our English speaking manager, Melanie will call every few days to provide fresh towels and will change the bedlinen once a week. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony outside. You will find plenty of soap, dishwasher tablets, towels and linen, just bring your own beach towels.

Complex facilities: At the heart of the resort is O Pavillhao restaurant and bar serving everything from snacks and ice cream to International Cuisine and English Sunday Roasts. Pool table and football table. Weekly BBQ, live entertainment in the high season. Small shop near restaurant sells all daily essentials including newspapers and a larger supermarket across the road (access via footbridge) on Camping Albufeira, has a large selection of goods.

Golf: Special green fees for Club Albufeira guests are available for the following golf courses: VILAMOURA 1, 2 and 3 MILLENIUM, BALAIA, SALGADOS, VILA SOL, PINTA GRAMOCHO. Only players wearing soft spikes and proper attire (no t-shirts) will be allowed to play.

Other Activities: Driving range, multi screen cinema, 10-pin bowling, designer shopping.

We rented this apartment in August, and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very spacious. We used it at full capacity of 6 guests, and had the double sofa bed and a Z bed in use all the time, yet we still had plenty of space, to lounge about, eat and drink. The two bathrooms are great when there are six of you wanting to get ready for the evening. There was always an abundance of clean towels to hand, and a linen change during our stay.

The outside balcony is south facing and has sun from first thing in the morning to evening, so ideal for sun worshippers. The location of the apartment on the complex is very good, although it is up a steep hill, but it is very close to three pools and the new Azul restaurant. The Mini Market and Crazy Golf are also to hand.

Club Albuferia is a lovely complex, very clean with lots of space with beautiful pools. It is quiet at night with the two restaurants being the main focus of entertainment, we used the campsite bar over the road on a few occasions. We hired a car as we like to get around, but local transport was available from outside the complex. We found that it was necessary to use a taxi or the car to get into Albuferia, but dont let this put you off, it was nice to be on a lovely complex with great accomodation, yet be close to the lively old town. And for a beautiful beach, Santa Eualia, free car parking, watersports and restaurant, only 10 mins by car...fantastic!
