Vilamoura is situated on the Algarve coast. It is an up market resort which is well known for its famous and vibrant marina. It has 6 golf courses of international aclaim and 2 spectacular beaches that stretch out on either side of its famous marina. There are also many shops, bars and restaurants serving local and international cuisine. The casino hosts spectacular shows all year round. A visit to the nearby 'Algarve Shopping' center is always exciting, whether to take in dinner and a movie, go shopping at its many stores or get out of the sun for a while. There are a number of Marine and Aqua parks in the area that provide first class entertainment for the family. Vilamoura is renowned for it's large variety of entertainment and sporting facilities it offers its guests, far superior to any other resort in Portugal. | Notes: | The spacious apartment comfortably accommodates 6 adults. The lounge has a sofa which converts to a double bed or two stand alone single beds if required. The large, colourfully decorated airy lounge, with its ceiling high patio doors, leads out to a generous covered sunny terrace area. The terrace area is furnished with attractive garden furniture including a large sturdy table, six chairs, four sun-loungers and a barbeque to spend those hot sunny days dining a la fresco near the clear blue pool. The large kitchen offers all modern appliances as well as a large breakfast table and chairs. The master bedroom is en-suite (bath/shower) and has patio doors leading onto a small sunny veranda. The second bathroom has a shower facility. There is secure parking. The apartment is air-conditioned throughout and the system also provides heating, if necessary. A cleaning service, which is provided once per week, is included in the charge for the apartment |
Additional services and facilities
A car is recommended. However, if desired, airport pick up can be arranged at a reasonable price (to be advised when booking). Taxi services are available and details are provided in the apartment. A regular and nearby bus service is a feature of the area. Details also provided in the apartment. There are numerous easily accessible water parks and other entertainment for both adults and children. Algarve Shopping Center provides a large shopping, cinema, retsaurant and entertainment center for those days one does not feel up to the sun and beach.

Golf Information:
The Algarve is home to some fabulous golf courses. There is an abundance of golf in Vilamoura and within a few minutes drive there are 5 courses, including 2 championship courses. The Vilamoura courses features The Old Course, Pinhal, Laguna, Millenium and the latest addition The Victoria, designed by Arnold Palmer. These are all excellent courses with great facilities. The Old Course being one of the first courses built in the Algarve and still the favourite in Vilamoura with every hole being lined with umbrella pines. PINHAL is also lined by pine trees for most of the course and on the back 9 you also get glimpses of the sea. LAGUNA as the name suggests has plenty of water holes so bring plenty of balls with you for this one. MILLENIUM has a contrast of tight pine tree lined holes and some nice open holes that encourage you to open up your shoulders. You will enjoy playing any or all of these courses. Other courses such as The Royal and Ocean are situated in Vale do Lobo, Quinta North and South at Quinta do Lago (a few minutes drive away) and there are also Pinheiros Altos and the famous San Lorenzo course. There are even more courses further East and West including Henry Cotton's favourite 'Penina' near Alvor. This really is a golfer's paradise!!
