The Old Village is uniquely designed based on 18th Century Portuguese architecture - a mix on rustic and traditional styles with pastel coloured buildings and cobbled walkways. These exclusive apartments are all privately owned surrounded by landscaped gardens that burst with bright flowers and palms. The Old Village is free from traffic and surrounded by the exclusive fairways of the Pinhal golf course. There are three swimming pools on site - two of which are child friendly. There are two pool bars, coffee/breakfast shop, two licensed bars, supermarket with fresh bread delivered daily, wine/beer shop, Italian take-away, children’s playground, two cafes and two restaurants.

Vilamoura is a resort of the highest standards, with its five golf courses, restaurants, marina, two golden beaches, cinema, casino, tennis courts, mini golf and shops – all are excellent. The two award winning golden beaches (which are 10 min away) in Vilamoura are the perfect place to relax with your family, occasionally venturing to visiting the beach bars/bistro for a cool drink or ice-cream. For those more energetic, enjoy the water sports including wind-surfing, jet-skiing, scuba-diving, boat trips, paragliding and snorkelling. The sophisticated marina, packed with luxury yachts creates a cosmopolitan ambiance and is lined with excellent restaurants, all at reasonable prices and catering for all tastes including traditional Portuguese fare and locally caught fish. A car is not necessary to enjoy a holiday in Vilamoura with it being only 20 min from door to door from the Airport and approximately £18 in a taxi. There are two beaches close by Marina Beach which is 10 minutes walk, but there is a mini-train which takes you there from the Old Village and runs every half-hour in peak season. Felisha beach is the second with a wide range of facilities including a childrens playground, showers, sunbeds and shops and snack-bars. There is a small charge for sun-beds in the Old Village.
