Solar do Golfe is an exclusive complex of apartments and is a veritable 'oasis' within the boundary of the fashionable, sea side town of Vilamoura. A ground floor apartment, situated in private, secure grounds consisting of 2 pools, with children's pool areas. Set in an area of beautifully maintained gardens and lawns, adjacent to the 13th fairway of the Pinhal golf course. A day time administrative/security presence is maintained. The complex is situated being locked gates & is a 20 min walk away from the lively town of Vilamoura. Next to 'The old village', which contains pubs, cafes and agencies for car/bike hire, horse-riding agencies. All golf courses are situated no more than a 5-10 min drive away.

The Solar do Golfe complex is situated adjacent to The Old Village on Rua de |Ingleterra. Various pubs. cafes, a supermarket and various agencies are located here. The gardens/pools overlook the 13th. fairway of The Pinhal golf course. a tourist 'train' runs along Rua de Ingleterra and meanders through the villas in the region and passes the marina, shops, restaurants and beaches of Vilamoura.

A tourist 'train' takes passengers to and from Vilamoura Marina/town on an hourly basis. Though the walk to the town and marina, the casino and beach are only a 20 min walk away. Vilamoura has a multitude of excellent restaurants. Discos beauty parlours, shopping and a casino (with floor shows) are in the immediate vicinity. A very good bus service runs between all other beach resorts and towns in the Algarve.

Perfect holiday for family with young children

We have four children and have been holidaying in Solar do Golfe for 8 years. We normally holiday with friends, who stay in another apartment. We tried a different holiday last year, but our children insisted we return to Solar do Golfe this year. We love it because the grounds and swimming pool are beautiful. There is plenty of space for a game of football. Having said that, it is generally very quiet and we regularly have the swimming pool to ourselves. We have never hired a car as it is only a 15 to 20 minute walk to Vilamoura. We also use the local taxi service when necessary. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable.

I was there with my family, my parents, my sister, and some children. It is the perfect place for a big family with older and younger people. I can´t go to the beach because of the sun but the swimming pool and the gardens were wonderfull to me. I had a great time.
