Perfect for a summer holiday, fully furnished and with well equipped kitchens, either as a family or as a romantic holiday for just two people. They are individually decorated, with comfortable furnishings, and with terracotta floors, and cane ceilings, and have been renovated to a high standard. Each bedroom has air-conditioning netting on all the windows, and is provided with clean white sheets and towels. Located nestled in the hills amongst a pretty, traditional, farming hamlet surrounded by lemon and orange groves and with beautiful views all around, each cottage has its own barbeque and private terrace.

Almond Tree House (sleeps 6) Almond Tree House is the largest of the three cottages and can accommodate 6 people (cot and high chair available at no extra cost for an extra small guest or two). It has a large, well equipped, open-plan farmhouse kitchen with all the usual amenities plus a dishwasher and microwave oven. French windows lead from both the kitchen and sitting room on to a shady terrace with large wooden table and benches, for outside dining for up to 12 people. The comfortable sitting room has Satellite TV, a selection of family and childrens´ videos, and a wood burning fire for the winter months. There is a downstairs cloakroom with WC. Up the gated stairs are three bedrooms with wooden floors, each of which has a beautiful view over the garden, pool area and surrounding countryside. The master bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, and the other bedrooms have twin beds and share a shower room with WC.

  A NON-Refundable deposit of 25% of the rental is payable on confirmation of booking.Telephone bookings will be held for 4 days until written confirmation is received together with a deposit. The balance of the rental is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. Payment in full is requested for bookings made less than 8 weeks from departure.

Almond Tree, Bake House and Carob Cottage

This is a quiet, pretty little hamlet where Portuguese traditions still continue to this day. The lane to the cluster of of three, modernised but charming, typical Algarvian dwellings is lined with flowers, and our neighbours` walls are heavy with bougainvillea. We have stunning views over the surrounding orange groves and farmland and are slightly off the beaten track between Faro and Albuferia (where the best night life can be found). Conveniently situated 20 minutes drive from the airport, and within easy reach of the shops, and restaurants to suit every palate. A few minutes drive will take you to beautiful clean sandy beaches and coves. Riding, golf, tennis and water sports can also be arranged for you in the surrounding area, and for children there are water-slide parks, zoo marine and crazy golf. There are numerous markets where you can buy locally grown fruit, vegetables, herbs and fresh fish for your barbeque.

10 minutes from the sea

Despite only being 10 minutes from the sea, this is a sleepy little hamlet with few cars, assuring a uniquely quiet and safe holiday. For the happiness and security of your children, the Bake House and Almond Tree House have stair gates and the swimming pool is gated and fenced. There are also available highchairs, cots, and lots of children's videos and toys. All the windows have mosquito netting and there are fans in all of the bedrooms. All bedlinen and towels are included in the price and beach towels can be provided. There is maid service every week day and personal laundry can be undertaken by Maria at an extra charge. Despite the seclusion of our little hamlet, we are surrounded by local, Portuguese restaurants. The nearest is Patio which is fantastic value for money and only a few minutes walk away.

Planning a longer break.

We understand that some people may want to take a longer break than the usual one or two weeks. We will be happy to accommodate this and negotiate from the advertised prices. We can also be more flexible over the Thursday changeover day, out of high season. We really do advise renting a car for your holiday.
