• Towels will be changed once per week & the villa cleaned twice per week. An end of week change of linen and towels is also included for bookings of longer than one week.

Facilities at Vilar do Golf...

Bicycling: The terrain is mostly flat and traffic is relatively light, making bicycling an attractive option. Bicycles can be hired from Vilar do Golf Resort Club. Children’s activities: There is a kids club at Vilar do Golf with activities for youngsters during the summer months. Fitness: The fitness centre includes a gym, beautician / masseur centre and saunas. Swimming: Vilar do Golf offers 2 outdoor pools for adults and 1 for children. There is also a heated indoor pool with jaccuzi. Sunbeds, umbrellas and a poolside bar / restaurant are available. Tennis: In addition to the many tennis courts throughout Quinta do Lago, Vilar do Golf also has a tennis centre which is open to all and offers tennis coaching as well as the use of the facilities. Other on-site facilities include a gift shop, a coffee bar, a supermarket and a medical centre.

Beach: The long sandy beach beyond the Ria Formosa lagoon stretches for about 3 kms. During the peak summer months there is a lifeguard on duty during the day. The beach bar rents parasols, sunbeds and sports equipment. Bird-watching and Nature Walks: The Ria Formosa Natural Parque has an abundance of wildlife and is home to many rare species of nesting and migrating birds. Two nature trails have been created and there is a bird observatory and information posts highlighting the flora and fauna of the area. Fishing: A Fishing Centre is part of the Watersports Centre and, for a fee (which includes equipment hire), you can fish for several varieties including sole, eel and sea bream. Horse-riding: There are a number of equestrian centres in the vicinity which organise treks and similar events. Watersports: The Watersports Centre has a range of activities including windsurfing, water skiing, dinghy sailing and scuba diving.

Restaurants, Shopping...

Within walking distance of the Villa are the coffee bar, the Bobby Jones Bar and Grill, the Golf Club restaurant and the restaurant at the Golf practice area. A longer walk or short car journey will take you to the Quinta do Lago shopping mall with some 40 shops, several restaurants and a dental clinic. There are several other restaurants within the Quinta do Lago domaine and a wide choice alongside the roads leading to the nearby town of Almancil which also offers a wide variety of shops and supermarkets.

Golf Information:

Holiday-makers staying in our Villa enjoy discounted golf on a number of courses in the Algarve (ask for details). There are 4 golf courses within the Quinta do Lago estate: the Quinta do Lago South course, a par 72 championship course which has hosted the Portuguese Open several times, the Quinta do Lago North course (previously known as 'Ria Formosa'), noted for its many doglegs and demanding great accuracy off the tee, the San Lorenzo course, owned by the nearby Le Meridien Don Filipa Hotel and the Pinheiros Altos course comprising two 9-hole loops of contrasting character. The Quinta do Lago Golf driving range and practice area is a short walk from the Villa.
