This four bedroom Villa, has been built on the edge of the quiet Portuguese village of Vale De Boi, just a few kilometres west of Lagos with a travel time of approximately an hour by car from Faro airport. The villa is set in a tranquil valley between two river beds that give rise to the name of the property ‘River House’. The Villa has been designed to accommodate 8 to 10 people, with the bedrooms being arranged to provide maximum privacy for family groups. This makes the property an ideal location for family group holidays, golfers, or those that just value their space! The Villa has been built to a very high standard in a traditional Portuguese style, and incorporates a centrally located wood burning fireplace, the three bathrooms and kitchen are very modern and the living area is equipped with a wide screen TV, satellite services, and a built in CD/DVD system. The villa is set in it’s own private grounds with pool, lawns and barbeque.

Casa Ribeira is located within one of the last unspoilt traditional villages left in the Algarve. Eagles are often seen soaring in the valley and herds of sheep and cows graze close by. The nearest beach is less than 5 minutes drive away and there is a good supermarket only 2 minutes drive away which is open 7 days a week. This is the perfect location for visiting the unspoilt beaches of the West coast as well as the smaller coves and fishing villages of the South coast. The golf resorts of Parque da Floresta and Boa Vista are very close by.

Breathtaking views amazing conservation area, Bird-watchers paradise. Local restaurants cook the catch of the day. The surf is the best in this part of the algarve, everyone here is friendly and its a home from home atmosphere. Learn to speak the language for the shopping which is such great fun. Drive and explore Sagres, Salema beach and many other historic sites such as the the church in Raposeira. Also a great place to get fresh foods is the market in Vila do Bispo.

We stayed at this villa July 2009.

This villa is tucked away on the back edge of Vale De Boi, making the location perfect for a quiet family holiday.
The property is clean, well equiped and well maintained. As it has its own large lawn and a nice pool, it also ideal for children, as they have areas to play. There is a good supermarket approximately 1.5 km away, offering a great selection, including English newspapers and fuel. The location of the villa is perfect if you want a relaxing holiday, but with beaches and attractions only being a short drive away. Lagos is only 15km away, and has a nice marina where you can go on boat trips. The old part of the town also offers a wide selection of good resturants and shops.
The owner was extremley helpful to deal with, and there is a very nice lady within the village that looks after the villa, should you have any questions/problems.
We would definitely consider going back again.
