Burgau is situated on the Western side of the Algarve in a quiet serene area of the National Park. It is a small fishing village with winding cobbled streets and fisherman's' cottages. Situated approximately 12km from the historic town of Lagos and 24km from Sagres the most south-westerly village in mainland Europe. Although a small picturesque village it has 2 supermarkets, various bars, (including beach bar) and several restaurants. For more night life then Lagos is a 15 minute drive away. The beach at the picturesque fishing village of Burgau is just three minutes by car, while the historic port of Lagos, with its colourful markets, attractive marina and vibrant nightlife, is only ten minutes away.
