Looking for a golf, beach or family holiday? Villa Luzia is located in the hills just outside the market town of Loule and has spectacular views across the valley. The villa is 15 minutes from Faro airport and only 20 minutes from championship golf and beaches. Villa Luzia is a modern 4 bedroom detached villa set in large enclosed gardens of over 3000 sq metres, ideal for children to play safely whilst on holiday. The villa has its own swimming pool and terraced area. The pool can be heated for an extra £160 per week. Location: Loule in Portugal

Nearest Airport: Faro at 12 Miles
Nearest Train: Loule at 8 Miles

The villa: Located 1 mile north of Loule town centre on the road to Querenca the villa is set on a hill-top with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The villa is easily accessed 250 metres up a well made drive directly off the main road to Querenca. A cafe is within 250 metres and an excellent high quality exclusive restaurant is within 10 minutes easy walking distance. Loule Town: Loule's main attraction is as a market town and craft centre with craft workers always busy in their open workshops. Basket weaving, lacemaking, pottery and copper-work are all traditional local crafts. A few walls of the Moorish Castle still remain and the restored walkway incorporates the municipal museum. Loule takes it's festivals more seriously than the rest of the Algarve. There is a charming carnival in February together with Easter and 25th April festivals. Loule has a cosmopolitan feel with open boulevardes and streetside cafes, patisseries, shops and restaurants

Beaches: Vale do Lobo and Vale do Garrao beaches are very pleasant with plenty of amenities and beach-side restaurants (Try Julia's at Vale do Garrao Tel: 289 396 512). Shopping: Supermarkets: Several in Loule. Largest with most choice is Modelo hypermarket. Apolonia is upmarket supermarket in Almancil. Algarve Shopping: Very large shopping centre 25 minutes drive away on the EN125 near Guia. Designer outlets, restaurants, multi-screen cinema (English language) and bowling alley Designer shopping: There are very smart designer shops and boutiques in both Vale do Lobo and Quinta Shopping (Quinta do Lago)

Family Days Out: Zoomarine: Excellent sea-life park at Guia/Albufeira (on the EN125). Dolphins. Funfair. Swimming pools. Algarve Zoo/Krazy World: Amazonia with alligators and pythons. Swimming pools. Petting farm with small animals. Funfair with dodgems etc. Crazy golf. Lagos Zoo: The Algarve's only traditional zoo. Tel: 282 682 100. Open 10am - 5pm every day Omega Park: More of a nature reserve. Dedicated to protecting endangered species. Water Parks: Slide and Splash (Estombar, Lagoa), Aqualand - the Big One (Alcantarilha) and Atlantic Park (Varzea Mao, Loule) are all exellent days out (if you like that sort of thing) Go-karting: Excellent large track near Almancil (15 minutes drive) Water sports: Whole range of beach and water sports available at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Praia da Rocha including jet-ski, ringo, windsrfing, sailing etc.

We have recently returned from a fabulous hot & sunny 2 week holiday staying at villa Luzia. We knew the area a little from previous visits to the Algarve & found the property fairly easily. My first reaction when i saw the property was how stunning it looked & we were not disappointed when we went inside. The hallway is large & all the rooms are light, airy & spacious. The property was very clean & there were plenty of towels left for our use on each bed. During our stay the maid came twice a week to change the linen & to do a general clean which we wern't expecting but was much appreciated. The facilities are very good & i appreciated the use of the washing machine which meant i didn't have to take so many clothes! We did have a small problem one day with the power going off but we got straight on the phone to the property manager who talked us through the procedure to get it back on again fairly swiftly.
The outside area was very good & the garden is beautiful if a little under used by us. There is plenty of seating round the pool & it has stunning views across the hillside. The sun is on the pool area from first thing in a morning until about 7pm & due to this the water in the pool was at a lovely temperature all the time.
The location of the villa is very quiet & peaceful but close enough to all amenities. There are a couple of other villas nearby but we never heard any noise from them. The modelo supermarket is about a 5 minute drive away & is very well stocked. During our visit we spent quite a few of our days at Vilamoura which is about 20 minutes drive away & has a fabulous marina where you can hire jet skis etc & go on plenty of boat trips, dolphin safaris, parasailing etc. It also has loads of little shops & restaurants all the way round. well worth a visit. We also found a lovely beach at vale de lobo, again about 20 mins drive away. There are plenty of sunbeds to hire & they are located right next to some lovely restaurants right on the beachside where you can get a great English breakfast! There are a few waterparks within easy reach of the villa, one you drive past on the way to Vilamoura & the one we went to was Aqualand which was about 25 mins drive & very easy to find.
This is a great getting away from it all villa that we would definately book again if we went back to Portugal, in fact i wish it was mine!
