Photos and Description of this Montechoro holiday villa Sleeps 8 comfortably, minutes walk to centre and amenities

This is our own spacious traditional Portuguese family villa with private pool. There is a very spacious lounge and dining area with leather couches, satellite TV, glass dining table and hi-fi system. Patio doors lead out onto the terrace area where the large swimming pool (30x20ft) can be found with patio furniture and sun beds. The kitchen is fully-fitted with full cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and table and chairs for casual dining. Adjacent to the kitchen door is a BBQ area which also leads to the pool. The ground floor also offers a second lounge area which doubles as a bedroom and has a leather bedside. There is also a full bathroom on the ground level which makes it ideal for elderly people. Up the traditional Portuguese spiral staircase the other three bedrooms can be found. Two double bedrooms one with master en-suite (which both lead onto large terrace area) and one twin bedroom and separate bathroom. Laundry room consists of washing machine and tumble dryer

The villa is in a quiet residential area, it provides great privacy away from apartments and communal pools, no fighting for a sunbed. It is located 5 minutes from the famous strip which has lots of restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket located 5 minutes walk also. The beach is a 3 minute drive. The Algarve shopping centre is 10 minutes drive with many famous name stores. It has a large food court, cinema and bowling. There are also waterparks located 15 minutes drive from the villa. The zoomarine is also a popular attraction for both adults and children. There are lots of historical sites nearby, such as Silves. The fishing villa of Albufeira can be accessed by the local 'train' which runs from the strip and takes about 10 minutes. Several top golf courses are within easy reach. Diving, watersports, horse riding, go-karting and tennis are all only minutes drive away. We can give you advice on the best places to visit. Our manager can also arrange excursions on request.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The rental price is per week not per person. The price includes bedlinen, bath and hand towels and maid service once a week. The bedlinen and towels will be changed at this time. The villa must be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure in order for us to clean for incoming guests. Check-in is available from 3pm , but may be earlier if possible. We need a non refundable 20% deposit to secure your booking and full payment must be made 8 weeks prior to your departure. While we want you to enjoy yourself we ask that you please respect our property. A security deposit will be required, this will be returned to you after final inspection. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Enjoy your holiday and we hope to see you again soon.

It also has patio doors leading to a small terrace at the front of the villa. The fourth bedroom doubles as a second lounge area and has a double leather bed settee.

Travel arrangements: There are a lot of cheap and reliable airlines that fly to Faro. We can also give you details on a very reasonable and reliable car rental company. Alternatively we can arrange for an airport pick-up and drop-off for up to 8 people.

Golf Information: The Algarve has become one of Europe's premier golfing locations. There are currently 25 golf courses along the 100 miles of coastline with more under construction. A selection of these courses are within 10-15 minutes drive including the purpose built golf resort Villamoura.

Information Pack: In the Villa we have provided an information pack with local restaurants, bars and shops. We have also given some of our recommendations on where to go. We have spent a lot of time in the area and can provide lots of information - just ask!

Choosing the perfect place to stay for 9 people on holiday can be tough but I have to say this villa far exceeded our expectations. There were 7 adults and 2 children in our party and we all found the villa to be more than adequate for all our needs. The pool although slightly cold was fantastic. Only a 10min stroll to the strip where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The local supermarket is only 5mins away. A truly realxing holiday for us all, we didn't want to come home. The pictures on the site do not do this villa justice, the place is huge and very clean. I would definately recommend this villa for rent.

The villa is massive and very well equiped.Our party consisted of 6 adults, 1 teenager and 1 young child,there was plenty of room for everybody.The pool is large and although not heated it was always warm during our stay from13-27 June. Bars,resturants and shops are all within walking distance but although you can also walk to beaches it is better to drive as we did.The beaches are excellant with sun beds & shades and bar-resturants on them. All in all we had a wonderful stay and could not fault a thing.

absolutely fantastic villa,there was six of us "three couples" that went over to the villa in september 08. The villa was no more than 5-10 minute slow walk to the centre of the strip and literally around the corner from the villa is a shop, bar and lovely restaurant in which we eat in a lot.
the villa itself was the best thing about the holiday, the pictures simply do not do it any justice. The villa is huge and the pool and garden are so private, you can fully relax and have fun. Brian was a pleasure to deal with and he was happy to answer all our questions.
I would recommend this villa to anyone, families, the elderly and young people like ourselves.

Excellent sized villa which is a lot bigger than the photos. It was the perfect size for two families and the space meant we could have our own space when needed. The pool area is huge and was a hit with our children. When not in the large pool they were playing badminton on the grassed area. Equally great for small children was the fact when they wanted to get out the sun they went inside and enjoyed all their childrens programmes on Sky!

All rooms are extremely spacious and you could have easily fit another family in there without feeling cramped

The Villa is well equipped and evepn had items there not listed in Brians rental page - i.e. iron/ironing board, hair dryer, 6 six beach towels and DVD player.

The sun hits the garden just before 8am and we enjoyed mainy evening in warm sunshine till late and finish off with a nice BBQ.

The villa is a lot closer to the main Strip area than I thought (10 min stroll to the mid point) and you can easily access the rail train to the Old Town from there. 2 mins walk from the Villa is a small bar (Island Bar) which is handy for breakfasts if you fancy a change and cheap drinks and snacks. Also, small crazy golf, play area, internet access close by.

From the first initial contact with Brian to post holiday his service is 2nd to none and he will help with anything you need and nothing is too much trouble. Even gave us a contact for airport transfers who were a lot cheaper than the ones we usually use and were very prompt & professional.

Cheryl the property manager based in Portugal is also a lovely lady and very helpful.

Thank you to Brian for all your help. We had a wonderful two weeks and have been totally spoilt staying in a Villa.

Without a doubt the best villa we have stayed in to date !
Would'nt hesitate to recommend this property.

- The accomodation was far better than the description, more than adequate for our party of 5 adults and 2 older children.
- Immaculate and very well maintained with discrete visits from the Maid, Pool Man and Gardener.
- Situated in a quiet residential area, 8 -10 minute walk from the top/middle of the Strip.
- Bus stop only 2 minutes away for 'The Strip', The Old Town and the Bus station.
- Large Supermarket - 7 minute walk.

Wall to wall sun shine meant there was no danger of the Barbeque getting "rained off".
The pool went down a treat with everyone - young and old!
This property is a credit to the owner and his staff - well done and thanks for all your advice/help.
