Casa Liandra is a beautiful spacious villa, full of character with its high vaulted ceilings and Moorish arches. Thoughtful design and a high standard of furnishings make this a welcoming holiday base. All bedrooms are en-suite, modern, bright and airy with patio doors leading onto large terraces overlooking the pool and stunning sea views. For more private sunbathing there is a large upstairs terrace and panoramic views across the fig groves to Villamoura in the distance. Outside dining is a must! There is a large marble table (seats 8 comfortably) with retractable awning for shade during the day or cover at night. To the side is a large BBQ and further seating area, this is the place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and catch the last of the sun.

Ideally situated only 42kms from Faro airport via the new IP1 motorway, Sao Rafael is one of the treasures of the Algarve. Just a 2/3min stroll from the villa and you can be on one of Sao Rafael’s beautiful sandy beaches with the superb sands of Gale beach just a short distance away. You can enjoy the dramatic views from one of the many cliff walks or just chill and sample the freshly caught fish at the locally run beach restaurants. There is a good choice of restaurants and snack bars nearby, many in easy walking distance. For the golf lover the nearest course is Salgados approx 4kms with many top courses within easy reach.

Notes:

Prefer smoking outside villa only please. Regret no single sex bookings. The villa has a very large basement which accommodates the second twin sleeping area and a large fully equipped shower room. Because of the access to the studio area we consider it ideal for teenagers, but unsuitable for the very young, infirm or the elderly. There is also a games area with pool, table tennis and darts etc. Including a multi gym, exercise bike and stepper should you feel the need to work off those extra calories. Although the villa itself is suitable for the elderly and wheelchair users, you should bear in mind that pavements in Portugal are not like the UK.

Albufeira

The Villa is approx 2km from the bustling old town of Albufeira, with its lovely beaches, numerous shops, bars and fine restaurants. Its quaint town square is an ideal place to relax with a drink and watch the world go by. There is always something to see, whether it’s the square’s famous Charlie Chaplin statue, the Pierrots and street artists or the haunting sounds of the pan pipes. If that’s just too relaxing for you, follow the cobbled streets and search out a bargain at the local boutiques and handicraft shops. For those wanting a busy night life visit the new part, known locally as “the strip” with lots of bars, clubs and discos with excellent music.

Albufeira Marina

Albufeira’s new marina, is only 1.5kms away. A leisurely stroll, mostly downhill – and a taxi ride back for the faint hearted! Harbouring over 400 boats and with shops, bars and restaurants this will be another popular tourist attraction.

Golf Information:

Keen golfers find that the location of this villa is ideal to combine both a beach and a golfing holiday, and it also works particularly well for partners and children who do not participate in the sport. Everyone can be happy! Discounts are available at most courses, please request when booking.

Just wanted to say what a beautiful villa Casa Liandra is, we have stayed in some stunning villas over the years but this one beats them all hands down. The attention to detail in all of the rooms is fantastic along with the quality of the furnishings. It also really helps to have the full Sky package and TV's in the bedrooms - particularly when you have a young child - this gave us an extra hour in bed in the mornings which was very welcome! The uninterrupted view to the sea from the patio area is simply stunning and waking up in the morning and being able to see this view from your bed is such a treat. We had a wonderful week and would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quality villa in a beautiful location.
