Extremely large and spacious traditional style Portuguese luxury villa with 6 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, swim around in the large plunge pool (8m x 4m - max depth 2.5m) incorporating shallow pool (max depth 0.5m), surrounding tiled patio, outside toilet, roof top sun terrace, BBQ area looking out to the large plunge pool. Fully equipped throughout including bed linen and towels. A complimentary 'Welcome Pack' is supplied upon arrival. It is well maintained and decorated to a high standard and only a five minute drive to the medieval town of Tavira, known as the 'Jewel of the Algarve' and a few minutes to the sleepy village of Santo Estevao. The beaches on the Algarve are all sandy and exceptionally clean and are all 'blue flag'. Ideal location for 'serious' golfers or those just practicing and Faro airport is approximately just 20 miles away. The Spanish border is some 15 miles away and is motorway linked. Why not 'snuggle up' in the winter months to a cozy log burning fire?

'Jewel of the Algarve' is the other name for Tavira which is considered by many to be the most beautiful town in the Algarve and is only a short distance from the villa (5km). Here you can find everything you need, restaurants, chemists, bars and general stores as well as friendly people. Horse riding lessons for all ages and abilities just 15 mins drive. For the more adventurous why not try Lisbon or Seville only 2 hours drive away! Ideal location for golfers, some courses only 10 minutes drive away. The beaches are all Blue Flag, exceptionally clean and within easy reach of the villa which include Tavira (5 miles), Cabarias (8 miles) and Manta Rola (14 miles). Why not take a ferry trip across Rio Formosa to the islands or one of the boat trips on the Rio Guadiano? Or for those of you with children, there are the 'Water Parks' at Vilamoura which is only a 40 minute drive away. Better still, take it easy and relax around the spacious villa just taking in the glorious surroundings

Notes: This is our fifth consecutive year of advertising with Holiday Rentals. The spacious outside grounds have been newly planted with numerous bushes and plants together with orange, apple, pear, fig, peach, avocado, mango and lemon trees that has transformed the front garden. Guests are invited to pick these organically grown fruits, when ripe, for themselves as well as the organically grown vegetables planted at the base of these fruit trees such as tomatoes, onions, melons and watermelons. For those of you who wish to take things nice and easy or for special occasions you can use the services of a highly recommended local French chef who will purchase the fresh ingredients needed to cook your choice of menu. Just leave the rest to him (ladies take note, he even does the washing up !). Or if you prefer telephone him in the morning to order a freshly cooked meal available from his menu and delivered direct to you. The cost of this service is settled direct by you with the chef.

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE:: The accommodation is rented from Saturday to Saturday. The villa will be ready for occupation by 16h00 (4.00pm) on the day of arrival. You will be met by an agent at the villa and a complimentary welcome pack is provided. The main shopping area is in TAVIRA with its daily fresh meat, fish and vegetable markets together with a large 'Pingo Doce' supermarket that caters for all your needs. You will be required to vacate the villa by 10h00 (10.00am) on your day of departure, however this could be flexible depending on the arrival of any clients following your departure. When handing back all keys on your departure day the damage deposit held will be returned, in the same currency that was paid less any deductions if necessary. Towels and linen are provided.

FERRY AND CAR RENTAL DISCOUNTS:: FERRY : P&O Ferries offer a 25% discount on all crossings and is available to anyone who makes a booking for a property advertised on Holiday Rentals by calling P&O Reservations on 0870 520 2020 and quote 'Holiday Rentals Retail Promotion 86654'. CAR RENTAL : Discounts are available with 'EPI' (a very reputable company) offering excellent rates with offices in Faro and Monte Gordo whereby arrangements can be made to have the car picked up and dropped off at the airport. GOLF:: Portugal has just been voted the number one of golf courses in the world! There are many golf courses to choose from in the Algarve region but within an 8 kilometre drive from the villa just east of the ancient city of Tavira is Benamor which was completed in the spring of 2000 and is set among the peaceful surroundings of a construction-free golf resort. Also just a short drive away is the Golfe da Quinta da Ria one of two Par 72 courses that is set in the spectacular location of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and has been described by experienced golfers as 'the most beautiful course in the region'.

Golf: This is Europe's foremost winter golfing destination. The east Algarve has formed its own association to promote the region as a 'new tourist' destination. This part of the Algarve now has four 18 hole golf courses (and one 9 hole) with more under construction - and apart from emphasising these, the association wants to draw attention to the completely different undeveloped atmosphere. BENAMOR was the first 18 hole course to open in this area and lies between the Tavira coast and uplands of Serra do Caldeirao. It offers views both southward to Atlantic Ocean and northward to the hinterlands. On the QUINTA DA RIA estate are another two 18 hole par 72 courses near the coast between Tavira and Monte Gordo. The stunning layout of QUINTA DE CIMA is a series of lakes connected by a stream skilfully incorporated as an added challenge to players. Again this is a 18 hole par 72 course. All these courses are just a short drive from the villa.

Guest Book: During our stay in June 2005 we found that the description and photos did not do the villa justice. Everything you could wish for was available in the villa to the point we only left to go into town to shop.
