Villa Rosa is an elegant and charming 2 bedroom villa set in a property (Quinta) with its own gardens and private pool. There is also shaded covered terrace (pergola) around the house and the pool and the floor is all covered in the traditional Portuguese Calçada. The orange or other exotic trees (such as mangos) are within reach to make lovely fresh juice whenever you feel like drinking it. The surroundings are natural beauty and the perfect place to get way for seclusion and privacy. To discover the nature or the surroundings, a lovely church, Senhora da Saude, or it is great to walk along Rio Gilâo, if a good walker can discover the unspoilt countryside where you will find waterfalls and ponds. The local flora its abundant with majestic carob trees almond or fig trees with the very vibrant colours of the bougainvilleas everywhere. Enjoy a week with comfort and the feel of luxury at this Villa at about 2,5 klsm of the beautiful and romantic city of Tavira. 20 m Faro airport

Tavira is a very old city with a Roman Bridge. It's used only by pedestrians to go over to the other side of the city or walk along the Gilão River. Along the river there are many cafés and restaurants. They are full of charm and the waiters and waitresses are very courteous and friendly. Ask for a bica (very strong coffee) and enjoy your morning or afternoon while the natives pass by and look after their daily routines in a calm and educated way. Stress doesn't live her! Visit the archaic lanes built from hand-hewn stone where you find the local people and artisans. The Tavira's Town hall has excursions to visit the many churches in the region and ruins from the Roman and Islamic heritage visible in Catholic society. Points of interest are many and are waiting to be discovered.

Notes: The built in coal barbecue is in the lower part of the garden away from the pool and terrace. With all necessary tools to grill great memorable meals. The Covered terrace has a wooden pergola and has natural shade from the Mimosa tree with a large outside table with 6 chairs covered with white linen cushions and the table top is covered with lovely inlaid of Arabic mosaic. 1 hammock for children or adults.

Villa Rosa has lots of books and videos if inclined to use the leisure time to see all the movies that you always wanted to see or to read while relaxing by the pool in sun chairs or under the tree swinging in the white lace hammock.

Villa Rosa is very cosy and comfortable to come during the Winter or Spring season. With extra large plasma television and satellite with sports channels. Floor heating in the entire house .Very cosy in the cold nights of the Algarve.

Since you understand English so well, and it is so much easier for me to write English than Portuguese, I take the liberty of writing these lines in English! First of all to confirm that the stay I had at Villa Rosa together with my childhood friend the two last weeks of April this year just confirmed the positive impression I had previously had of the house, the surroundings and the charming town of Tavira itself!! The peace and quietness of the house, the handy proximity to Tavira and the endless possibilities of activities on the Algarve Coast makes Villa Rosa an ideal vacation spot!! It was really one of the best vacations I have had in a long time!! L.Kerr

Golf: The Benamor golf course is minutes (5 min by car) away. The Golf course of Quinta da Ria is about 10 minutes from the Villa. The Quinta da Ria is one of the most beautiful golf courses by Tavira or in the Algarve The landscaping is absolutely unspoilt. The sea view with an intense blue, always changing always beautiful.

Excellent Homely Villa with Peaceful Surroundings

This was our first stay at Villa Rosa and it was absolutely excellent. The Villa itself was lovely, cosy, and clean with fantastic walk-in showers and a well-equipped kitchen.
The pool area and surrounding gardens were great, the views were just fabulous. It was lovely having the built-in BBQ and large sitting area to eat outside.
We had no problems during our stay and we would definitely return.
Tavira itself is really nice; the town is beautiful with good restaurants.
You definitely need a car if you stay here as it is in the middle of nowhere - which we loved!

Our holiday will be remembered for many reasons. A very warm welcome greeted us on our arrival.The Villa Rosa was easy to find from the directions given and had everything we required, total privacy and peaceful location.The walks around the area every morning before breakfast started the days off in the best possible way.
A car and map are essential to visit the many areas that are within easy reach of the Villa and then relaxing in the afternoons by the pool and sampling the restaurants in the evenings that were recommended by cards left by previous ( including ourselves ) guests which were very good.
We would certainly visit again which is a recommendation to anyone. A romantic and relaxing break with batteries recharged.

This was our second visit and will not be our last this house is like home from home.
Huge walk-inRain Forest piping hot water luxury showers, huge beds, well equiped kitchen and wonderful welcome pack chilled wine and fresh fruit platter await.Fantastic staff and spotless.
Views outstanding peace and quite.Not suitable for teenagers I would guess as they would find it to peaceful.
5 minute drive into Tavira fish market, bakery and lots of spots to eat if you tire of BBQ and solitude.
7 minute drive to beach at Barril how far can you walk you'll never reach the end of it.
Fishermans huts and grilled fish on the beach.
Saturday market in Sao Bras 25 min drive away
Excellant local wines
Small pool great to cool off, although to small for laps you'll get giddy.
Gardens superb, large and very well groomed. Picking your own fresh oranges straight from the tree for breakfast cannot compare to any luxury hotel.
Poolside towels, soap, hairdryer, there is nothing you need to worry about forgetting as it is all there.
