Situated in a peaceful and modern residential area, this tastefully furnished, three bedroomed semi detached house is ideal for any type of holidaymaker - whether to use as a base from which to explore the delights of the Eastern Algarve or simply enjoy a relaxing seaside resort break. Its location is also perfect for Golfers, with 5 courses all within a 40km radius! The Spanish border is only a mere 10 minutes away by car meaning that you can even visit another country to sample the delights of Tapas and Spanish wine! Whatever your wish, amenities are close to hand. A large supermarket is close by, or if you prefer, the village of Altura is around 10 minutes on foot. The resort is small and friendly and boasts a number of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. The beautiful white and sandy beaches make it a little paradise which remains largely unspoilt and brimming with Portuguese atmosphere.

The village of Altura remains largely unspoilt and has retained a typical Portugese charm. The house is ideally located for beach and amenities, and is also very close to the main travel networks for bus, car and train. Within easy access is the beautiful and historic town of Tavira, the bustling resorts of Monte Gordo with its own casino, Vila Real de St. Antonio (great for shopping!) and only 5km away, the Spanish border town of Ayamonte.

To the rear, leading from the kitchen, there is a good sized outside patio area which is walled and offers some privacy, although not entirely enclosed. There is sufficient garden furniture for 'al-fresco' dining. There is also sufficient space for 2-3 people to sunbathe. |
THE HEART OF TAVIRA, 15KM
The famous and beautiful town of Tavira is located in the heart of the Eastern Algarve only 30kms from Faro Airport and 30 kms form the Spanish border. From this villa, approximately 15kms. As one of the region's oldest and most attractive town, you cannot fail to be enthralled by its charm, character and tranquility. Once known as the capital of the Algarve, you'll see an abundance of history - a Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants. As well as viewing the many fine C18th building and churches (27 in total!), you can visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park. There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce, and the local beach of Tavira accessible by small ferry boat and boast excellent facilities and a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
LOCAL BEACH - ALTURA
The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the beach of Altura is no exception. Around 1km away, here you will find golden sands, rolling sea and sunbeds for hire. The facilities include car parking, and bar/restaurants serving a range of snacks and meals. The beach is clean and well-kept and is deemed to be one of the safest in Portugal.
ACTIVITIES AND THINGS TO DO
Within minutes there is plenty to do should you so choose. For the keen golfer there are a number of excellent golf courses within a 35km radius and we can arrange discounted rates. We can also assist with excursions such as Jeep Hill Safaris and River Cruises. To the West lies the more commercial resort of Albufeira where you'll find themed activities for the kids including water parks, zoos and go-karting. There are also 2 large shopping centres in Faro and Albufeira with designer shops and restaurants. As a special treat, we also recommend our ' at home' beautician service for a special pampering holiday treat. If you travel further East, Spain is only 8 km away where you can enjoy wine and Tapas and Seville, only 175km away, approximately 2 hours if travelling by car.
