Originally the old olive press serving the local olive growing community, Quinta do Mar has been greatly extended and modernised to create a large house with immense charm, specifically designed for the enjoyment of the marvellous climate of southern Portugal. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the flexible accommodation is ideal for up to 10 people.The house exudes character and facilities include a large games room with snooker/pool table, a large (12metre) swimming pool, a 'sun dance' hot tub, BBQ, large covered terrace and extensive private grounds. Sky TV, DVD & VCR and Broadband are all provided. There is Air Conditioning throughout and the kitchen is large and very well equipped. Although in a rural setting, with spectacular sea views, particularly from the first floor, the location is extremely convenient, being a 20 minute drive from Faro (airport and town) and beaches/ golf courses at Vale do Lobo and Quinta da Lago.

Vale Telheiro is a quiet hamlet that has a small shop with a local bar, and not much else! However it exudes charm and character and has spectacular panoramic views of both the sea and the countryside. Although very quiet and peaceful, it only a 5 minute drive to the market town of Loule, where there are many shops, restaurants and of course a market.

Bedroom 4 has 2 single beds and is ideal for children or teenagers. It has a superb en suite bath/shower room. Bedroom 5 (Annex) has 2 single beds and a set of bunk beds and is 13m x 4 m. Notes: Quinta do Mar offers the perfect holiday environment for an extended family, 2 or 3 families together or up to 5 couples. The feeling of space ensures that you will never be crowding each other. While offering peace and solitude, the market town of Loule is only 5 minutes down the hill, the marina at Vilamoura, beaches and golf courses at Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and Shopping centres at Faro and Guia can all be reached in 20 minutes. Around Loule there are many good and reasonably priced restaurants to choose from, while the more up market ones in and around Almancil are only 15 minutes away. There is a local bar and shop within walking distance and a large supermarket less than a 5 minute drive. If you don't want the beaches, the real Portugal of the hills, Salir, Alte and Monchique are all easily accessible.
