Algarve is a region renowned for its mild and sunny climate, its miles of glorious sandy beaches with their stunning rock formations and its excellent sport facilities. It boasts an average of 3000 hours of sunshine per year. Its mild all year round with virtually no rain in the summer months. February sees the start of the spring and its warm in October.The old town of Albufeira which perches on the cliff top overlooking the the beach, retains a distinctive Moorish character and you can still see the fisherman bringing in their catch on Praia dos Pescadores (Fisherman's beach) There are 2 excellent local restaurants, both with bars open until late within about 8 minutes walk of Villa Costa and another one during the summer months at the near by Clube Albufeira with famous barbecues on Wednesdays nights where you can eat as much as you like! Algarve Shopping with food store, many restaurants, bowling and cinemas is only few minutes by car as is Zoomarine, water parks, nightlife & golf.

Additional information about rental rates

  • - Please note all the above rates are per week based on maximum of 6pax.
    - Arrive on any day of the week (flights are normally much cheaper midweek) but please note in high season it may only be possible to arrive on same day as the previous guests are checking out. We will do our best to accommodate your request with your chosen travel dates.
    - Check in from 3pm on the day of arrival, check out at 10am on the day of departure (this is to allow time to clean the villa for next arrival). If you flight is late, luggage can be stored at the villa.
  • - 30% deposit required when making a reservation ( for bookings made now for 2010 we only require 10% deposit )
    - Balance is payable at least 6 weeks before arrival.
    - Payment can be made in sterling to our bank in UK or by bank transfer to our bank in Portugal.
    - Breakage deposit of €250.00 (approx. £230.00) must be paid on arrival in cash and will be refunded on departure providing no damage occurred.
    - Christmas & New Year supplement from £250.00 - £350.00 per week.
    - Air conditioning (in the living room only) available at additional cost of €50.00 per week.
    - 3 electric oil heaters in the bedrooms (normally from November to March) - €35.00 each heater per week.

Notes: Villa Costa is a 3 bedroom semi-detached villa with accommodation split as follows. On the ground floor there is a fully fitted kitchen, WC and spacious living/dining room with patio doors leading to garden and swimming pool with umbrellas and sun beds. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a double and single bed and bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a very spacious balcony overlooking the pool and garden. On the second floor there is a bedroom with a double bed en-suite bathroom and a large veranda with fantastic panoramic views of the country site. Outside you will find very well kept garden with inviting swimming pool, separate eating area with purpose build brick barbecue and garage for your car. Housekeeper/caretaker lives on the property side in an annex with separate entrance. Maid service is provided three times per week with bed linen changed once per week and towels twice per week.

Car hire, taxi transfer & local information: For guests wishing to rent a car we can make arrangements with a local car firm at competitive rates with efficient and personal service. You can pick up the car at Faro Airport or have it delivered direct to Villa Costa. We can also reserve airport transfer from Faro Airport. The driver will await your arrival and bring you direct to the villa. The costs is €37.00 for up to 4pax and €45.00 for up to 6pax and the journey usually takes about 35 minutes. There are two excellent local restaurants within about 8 minutes walk. Ideal if you like country walks. Just around the corner from the villa is a long country lane where you can enjoy the beauty of Algarvian countryside. Zoomarine and water parks ( children will love it ! ) are 10-20 minutes drive. Golf courses are only 10-15 minutes by car and sandy beaches of Albufeira about 5 minutes. A superb choice for your dream holiday at an unbeatable price!

GOLF INFORMATION: GOLF INFORMATION --- There are currently 25 golf courses in the space of 100 miles of coastline, with more under construction. Most of the Algarve golf courses are within half an hour drive from our villa, some only 10-15 minutes. Over the last few years the Portuguese Open has been hosted variously at Penina, Vila Sol and Sao Lourenzo, all of which may be included in the list of top European championship courses. Warm playing conditions and immaculately manicured fairways and greens are the norm in the Algarve. The choice is simply superb.

Stay at Villa Costa

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Costa and it is absolutley beautiful, the only thing missing was air conditioning as it was very hot in the evening. Having our own pool was a big plus with having kids and they had a ball.  We had to get taxis to and from where we wanted to go but it was also ideal if you just wanted to lounge by the pool in the daytime.

Fancy a Fantastic Holiday then look no further!!!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Portugal staying at the Villa Costa and what a fantastic place to stay it is like a palace, very spacious and top notch with the cleanliness. We have been before back in 2005 and loved it that much that we returned and will definately again too. You are made to feel very welcome by Andrew the owner who can't do enough for you with answering any questions you may have however big or small.
I would recommend this holiday to anybody and already have to 3 other people who are looking to go away.
The location is right on the edge of a new estate overlooking fields as far as the eye can see and it is lovely and quiet. There is a lovely fantastic run restaurant in walking distance that we wouldhighly recommend and a bit futher on a supermarket for all your needs, even nice bbq food that we purchased and had a lovely bbq at the Villa. We hired a vehicle from the airport which we would recommend as there are so many lovely places to visit eg beautiful beaches, zoomarine (fantastic day out) and if you fancy a different evening meal there is a restaurant about 10 mins drive away that has everything you can think of to eat, help yourself and you have your plate weighed at the end and that is what you pay for, our most expensive meal for 6 main courses, desserts and drinks was 52 euros, BARGAIN!!!
I hope this review has helped you in helping choose your holiday, if you want a nice, peaceful and relaxing holiday look no further as I said we will go back, ENJOY!!!

Allison, Colin and baby Reid join me in saying how enjoyable our vacation was at Villa Eber. You and Ana were wonderful hosts. The villa is beautiful and the service wonderful. We especially appreciate your accommodating the baby's needs with the chair, crib and car seat, as well as booking our car for us. Mostly, we appreciate your wonderful suggestions for travelling about the area and for restaurants. Loved the whole trip and would gladly stay with you again. We hope to take Reid back when he is a bit older. PS: We found the Portueguese people very friendly and very honest. A trait, we Canadians, appreciate. Charlotte
