The villa is set in its own grounds over looking the quiet countryside. located between the cultural village of Alte and the small market town of St.Bartolomeu de Messines. Both having nice bars and restaurants. The country side around the villa has some beautiful walks and scenery

Location: Alte in Portugal

Nearest Airport: Faro at 50 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 30.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
The villa is located amongst open countryside away from the traditional tourist resorts within the local Portuguese community. The nearest village of Alte is a traditional Portuguese village with little cobble streets and whitewashed houses. A short walk from the centre of the village there's a local picnic area with a natural freshwater swimming area. Also a waterfall is located at the other end of the village. In the opposite direction from the villa is the local market town of Messines with restaurants and local bars. The town of Silves is definitely worth a visit with it's Castle and shopping precincts. 30 minutes drive to varied beaches. Praia da Marinha, Gale, Praia da Coelha and Sao Rafael are just some of the beaches between Guia and Armacao de Pera. Golf courses and golf schools are within 35 mins drive from the villa. Balaia golf village have special beginners courses for children which are very reasonably priced.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of 25% is required on booking. The balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Booking deposit is none refundable. A £300 breakage bond is required with the final payment. This will be returned within 48hrs of departure providing no damage has occurred.
  • Changeover day:
    Thursday between April 29th 2010 to July 29th 2010
    Sunday between August 15th to October 31st 2010
    Where bookings coincide for the same day we request that outgoing guests depart by 10am and incoming guests arrive no earlier than 2pm
  • The villa is a family villa suitable for up to 6 including children.
    Air conditioning is available in Master bedroom and lounge/dinning room with fans available for other rooms.
    A cot is provided on request and is included in the price for 6 persons. For 7 persons there would be an extra charge of £100 per week.

Notes: The villa is suitable for families and couples and sleeps up to 6 with the addition of a cot which is included in the price. Air conditioning is available in master bedroom and Lounge/dining area. Fans are available for other rooms. There is also internet connection available if required. Mountain bikes and table tennis are available for guests to use. Large gardens surround the villa with terraced area around the large private 13m x 6m pool for sole use of guests. Outside shower room with hot and cold facilities having wc,sink, shower cubicle. There is also an open outside shower with hot and cold facilities. Ample garden furniture around pool and terrace and upper terrace with sun loungers and BBQ.

Debby Kent, Thank you for another wonderful holiday in your lovely villa. The pool is simply the best, and we will certainly miss the peace and tranquility of this most unspoilt part of Portugal. You help to make this a very special holiday and we look forward to seeing you again in 2008.
Nige & Shells Marlborough, It is hard to find the words to express how much we have enjoyed the past 2 1/2 weeks. For the third time we had the most fabulous holidy here. Many thanks Cheryl & Malcolm for your very kind hospitality and for making everything so perfect for us. We always find the villa, together with the stunning views so relaxing and tranquil. You can't beat sundowners on the roof terrace and the evenings playing table tennis have been brilliant. We will truly miss it all. Roll on 2008.
