Charming villa in a quiet area with 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and two bathrooms. The dining- and living room and the spacious fully equipped kitchen give access to the terrace next to the swimming pool. The villa is situated about 40 min. from Faro and 10 min. from Spain. The inside country is nearby and the beautiful long sandy beaches are only at 2 km. The local daily market and the supermarket are at 1 km. Golf courses are at 5' and 10’ drive. Altura is situated in the Eastern Algarve, 15 km from the most charming town Tavira and 10 km from the Spanish border. It is only 45' drive from Faro airport and 1,5h drive from Sevilla (Spain). The villa is completely private, surrounded with a hedge and an entrance gate. It is a quiet urbanization, 1 km away from the shops and just 2 kms from the beach.

  • Bookings are made from Saturday to Saturday. You can enter the villa as of 4.00pm and leave the villa before 11.00am to allow the preparing of the villa.
    Deposit 25% on booking, Balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
  • A booking of minimum 2 weeks is requested in July and August, except if 1 week remains available in between 2 holiday bookings.

General: The Eastern Algarve is known to be the most unspoilt part of the Algarve. It has long sandy beaches and the inside country invites you to discover the small villages integrated in the never ending hills.

Tavira and the Ria Formosa: At 15’ drive from Altura is situated the beautiful town Tavira, described by many as the most charming place of the Algarve. You can easily enjoy a full day walking around and relax on one of the 'praças' or next to the river on the terraces of the restaured 'praça velha'. You can also go to '4-aguas' (four waters) and take the boat to the island 'Ilha de Tavira' where you will find a never ending beach and good accomodation (bars, restaurants, camping, red cross,...). Cabanas (de Tavira) – at 10' – is a very sympathetic fisher village where you have to take a small boat to cross the lagune and get to the beach.

One holiday - 2 countries :: The Spanish border is only 10’ drive from Altura. You will be able to visit another country and discover the difference of culture, people, language and tradition! A visit to Sevilla – one of the most beautiful towns of the world - belongs to the possibilities since it is only 1,5hr drive from your place!

Golf: Golf players have a large choice of golf courses : Benamor Golf and Castro Marim Golf Club - both quite new - are at 10’ drive. A brandnew double Golf Course (2 x 18 holes) - Quinta da Ria - is only at 5’ and opened summer 2002. The Golf courses near Vilamoura can be reached by the motorway in about 45 minutes. You will find a complete map with more touristic and practical information in the villa.

'We have had a great stay. We did it all, from driving up the river rd. to going to the tourist Zoomaring to just chilling by the pool. Thanks for accomodatng our 15 month old. Your villa is beautiful & feels like a home away from home!'
'Thanks for a superb holiday. The villa is extremely comfortable & ideally placed for exploring the Algarve. Your guest information folder was really useful and we enjoyed visits to many of the places you mentionned, esp. Seville, Cabanas & Tavira (our favourites). Also the restaurants you recommend are well worth a visit'.
'Some fantastic restaurants, esp. Dom Rodrigo, very friendly. Nearly everybody speaks english, even in Spain it was possible to make yourselves understood. ... The beach here is just amazing and goes on forever. We would love to come back again some time. May thanks'.
