Nestled in large grounds with established olive, fig, carob, almond and fruit trees but conveniently close to the unspoilt village of Moncarapacho with all amenities. You are within 10 minutes of the Ria Formosa, 25 minutes from Faro Airport, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago golf courses, half an hour to Spain and one hour will take you to almost anywhere in the Algarve.

Vivenda Sonhadora is situated in a superb location, only 7 Km's from Junction 15 of the A22 motorway and enjoys the beautiful tranquillity of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve in between the villages of Moncarapacho and Estoi. This very quiet and unspoilt area with it's rolling hills and sea views still enjoys the traditional way of life where the local farmers can be seen transporting their goods via horse and cart. Our small market town of Moncarapacho has a beautiful square where you can enjoy a meal and a drink or two with the locals, its Bars and Restaurants serve excellent and reasonably priced food (It is much cheaper than to the west of Faro). Here you will also find banks, post office, chemist, doctors, 3-4 Mini Markets and a large supermarket.

Notes: Ground floor entrance, new fully fitted well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, 2 fridges & freezer, cooker, microwave oven and the usual essentials. Spacious Open plan lounge/dining area with wood burner fireplace, Sky/Digital T.V, with DVD and CD players. Walk through the lounge area and sliding doors to the amply furnished pool area. 1 double bedroom with built-in fitted wardrobes, 2 twin bedrooms with built-in fitted wardrobes. 1 family bathroom with bath/shower over, WC, sink, lighted dressing mirror over and bidet. Staircase leads to the Master double bedroom with built-in fitted wardrobes and full en-suite bathroom with WC, sink/dressing mirror over bidet and separate double shower enclosure. From the Master bedroom, through the sliding doors to the south facing sun terrace with table and chairs, benefiting from lovely Portuguese countryside and distant sea views of one of the many Nature Reserves.

Notes on Accommodation: The villa is particularly suitable for children as the pool area is walled and gated. The pool is 8m x 4m with Roman steps gently sloping from 3ft to 6ft in the deep end, there is outside shower, ample poolside furniture and covered terrace for alfresco dining. As with a villa in large grounds the pool area, sun terrace and master bedroom terrace offers complete privacy. All openings have Mosquito netting so the louvre shutters can be locked at night leaving the windows open to keep the villa cool when necessary. Richard and Treasa, our managers are very helpful, they know the best places to visit so you will find them on your first week, not on the last as is normally the case! We have had excellent guests who have respected our villa.

Local Amenities: The water shoot park in Loule is only 25 Minutes away and is great fun, You can also Swim with the Dolphins at Zoomarine! We have a number of excellent markets nearby, (a detailed list will be in the villa) where you can pick up some real bargains. On the first Sunday of the month, it is in our local village of Moncarapacho. There is a daily fish market in the village with plenty of fresh fruit and veg. There is also an interesting car-boot near the beach of Fuzeta where you will find some unusual items. For those of you who do not want to just stay on the beach or by the pool and want to see more of the original Algarve then a circular drive through Moncarapacho, Estói, Olhão and Tavira is well worth doing. Again with the A22 link this makes a good relaxing half day visit. Tourist resort towns with entertainment, bars, restaurants and casinos only a 15 - 40 minute drive away (depending which town you would like to visit).

Golf: Not only has the Algarve the best golfing climate in Europe it also has some of the best courses and facilities. To the West, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo courses are within 20 mins of the villa and Vilamoura a further 15 mins further on. To the East, Benamor, Quinta de Cima and the Quinta de Ria are within 30 minutes and Castro Marim a further 15 minutes on. If all you want is a flick, in Moncarapacho there is a new Par 3 course and within 4Km’s is a 3 hole, pitch & putt (9 tees) with driving range, chipping areas and putting green and truly superb facilities can be enjoyed by all of the family.

The information provided prior to our stay was very useful in relation to the villa and to local attractions. The villa itself was everything we hoped it would be - it was a great size, very clean and modern with everything that we needed and the location was very peaceful, allowing us to lounge by the pool and read in absolute tranquility.
The local town has everything that you would need and a couple of fabulous restaurants, so you want for nothing. The location is also very good if you want to do some touring and get back in the same day.

Found villa location to be excellent, close to the village where we found very good restaurants at reasonable prices.
The villa was in very good condition and all rooms to be of a good size, the kitchen was very well equiped for all our needs.
Outside you have the pool which is a good size for both swimming and playing (second childhood), the garden also has the barbecue area which we used on several occasions, in the afternoons we made full use of the patio
for relaxing with drinks and snacks.
Looking forward to returning this May for another enjoyable holiday at the villa.

Best of both worlds, remote, but not too far away

We totally enjoyed this peaceful relaxing holiday in a lovely well looked after villa & secluded private pool.
You do need a car, although its only a short drive to Moncarapacho & Estoi, which you need to visit more than once to realise how much is actually there. Lots of info in the villa, where to go, things to do and Richard and Treasa (who manage the villa), have a vast knowledge of local areas and were very helpful. I would definately recommend this villa to family and friends and look forward to going back. The only thing I will say, is that the above photo does not do the villa any justice!.
