Fabulous summer holiday Villa in a great area!

I rented this villa in April this year. There were 9 of us in total staying between two families and we had a fabulous time! The villa is large with plenty of space in all the bedrooms, really nicely done bathrooms and a brilliant open plan upstairs living space for everyone. I loved how the bedrooms had double doors that opened out onto the pool.

The pool in itself was perfect – it was really big and as it was private there was plenty of room for us all to enjoy it – there were lots of loungers there which meant us adults could have them settled at one end of the pool while the kids played at the other end!

Parque da Floresta itself has a great golf course that the guys took full advantage of, and as there were loads of activites for the kids to do (tennis courts, big spa pool etc) us girls even induldged ourselves with a treatment at the Spa there. It is only 5 minutes to the nearest beach at Salema, which is a really pretty fishing village with a couple of great restaurants as well.

The owner of the villa was great and very easy to deal with. He gave us lots of tips before we arrived which helped us make the most of our time there. Overall I thought it was a brilliant holiday and great value for money!

We stayed in the Villa in July 09 and were very impressed by the accommodation as well as the resort. The villa had everything you needed for self catering accommodation and there was plenty of space so that we didn't trip over each other. The large private pool was great for the 2 families staying in the villa, and we even had trouble getting the kids out of the pool at times.

The property was clean & well maintained and is very close to the Spa and kids pools (~ 3 minute short walk away). The wives say that the treatments in the Spa are very good. The golf course is just over a 5 minute walk away and is a good challenging course and I even lost a few balls. The resort also has green bowling, tennis courts and a gym for those who want a bit more activity, although we didn't actually use these facilities.

We also spend a bit of time on the beach and there are several within a short drive from the villa. We also found some good restaurants around the area including The Beach Bar at Bergau and The Fortaleza at Luz. Equally we found the town of Lagos had lots to offer as well.

The booking process was very easy and we received good service from the owner. We enjoyed our holiday and are thinking of booking next year.
