This large detached villa, entirely alone with NO nextdoor neighbours! Set in a National Preservation area, & situated on the unspoilt western strip of the Algarve. In 2.5 acres of our own land & acres of wonderful National Park countryside; great for walks! In its elevated & secluded position, there are panoramic views of Budens Village & Parque Da Floresta Golf Course just across the road. With its tennis courts,clubhouse, restaurant, fitness & beauty spa, Budens village is only a 5 min walk. With a good sized supermarket, & several restaurants & cafes around. Salema beach is just over a mile away, as well as various beaches along this coastal strip to choose from. Burgau and Praia da Luz 6-8 mins drive are quite popular with tourists and hold plenty of night life.Lagos a beautiful historic town is 10 mins by car, with a variety of restaurants, cafes & shops. It boasts a beautiful marina where a boat departs daily for Dolphin Watching and an amazing promenade for leisurely walks.

Located just across from Villa Santa Maria; boasting spectacular views and a wonderful array of flowers plants & eucalyptus trees. (Villa Santa Maria can be seen from many aspects of the course). There is a GOLF ACADAMY, and short game practice. Excellent family holiday villa

Just returned from a week at Villa Santa Maria. We had an excellent holiday in the Algarve and the villa played a big part in that. Our party was 4 adults and 6 children (ranging in age from 20 months to 12 years). The accommodation is excellent even for a large party with plenty of room and never a feeling of being under each other's feet. The outdoor areas are very nice with a large pool and plenty of sun loungers. One small criticism would be that 1 or 2 of the flags around the pool have become a bit raised and the mortar in between eroded which caused a couple of stubbed toes... Other than that the standard of the accommodation is great with good facilities and nice furniture. The location, whilst not being beach-side, is good as well. The nearest supermarket is literally 1 minute in the car or 5 walking and Salema is about 1 mile away. Salema itself is a picture perfect small fishing town with a few nice cafe's and restaurants and a fantastic beach. We spent most afternoon's there and frankly couldn't think of anywhere we'd rather have been. All round an excellent place to send a family holiday. Highly recommended.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Santa Maria is a very private, secluded and spacious villa, and more than adequate to accommodate 2/3 families. The pool area is large, with ample space for children to run around and play. The paving around the pool has been checked and amended. We now have a seating area under the shade of the trees, outside the walls of the villa. It's lovely to go there if you just want to have some time to yourself to read, or just enjoy the peace and serenity. The villa is well situated, being close to Salema beach and amenities. Salema is a picturesque fishing village with a beautiful beach, and ample restaurants and cafes. However there are several outstanding beaches along this coastal strip to choose from. A great place for old and young alike to holiday.

We were 10 adults and 2 small childrfen (age 6 and 2) and we had a lovely holiday.
The premisses is excellent for a hole family. We were 4 generations.
It was nice with the daily cleaning, allthoug they did not appear 2 days aside from Sundays.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
