The villa has an enormous lounge, three double bedrooms and three twin, cots are available and there is a maid service weekly. Perfect for accommodating large family groups or groups of friends It is set in a quiet country lane amongst olive and lemon groves, traditional in the Algarve. The small village of Conceicao is a five minute walk away, as is Benamore golf club. Cabanas the local fishing village boasts a fantastic sandy beach and a variety of restaurants and bars.

Beaches

Cabanas beach is a really lovely sandy beach, it is very clean and unspoilt, perfect for any beach lover. It is especially suitable for families with small children as the sand is soft, no jags or stones, no dunes so you can watch little ones running around, the shore drifts away very gently into the sea. There is a beach cafe, excellent sunbeds with straw umberellas, a play area, toilets and telephone. You can travel a bit further and go to Tavira island beach by boat, Altura (great fro surfing) or Monte Gordo a bigger more commercialised beach.

Historic Tavira

A 10 minute drive from the villa will take you to the town of Tavira. Elegant and historic, the town dressed in palm trees includes elegant architecture, over thirty churches (you can spend a day exploring them all), castle ruins and Roman bridges spanning the Rio Gilao. The Moors used Tavira as a gateway to Portugal, the Portuguese sailed from here to North Africa. It has a lovely old library, art galleries, market and fabulous restaurants. On summer evenings you will often find some sort of entertainment in the town square where people of all ages, very young to very old promenade about town.

Golf Information:

There are four excellent golf courses very close to the villa the nearest being Henry cotton's Benamore golf course within a very close walking distance. Within a very short drive (5-15 mins) you will find Castro marim, Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. There is also a selection of six courses just across the Spanish border which is 15 minutes away by car. Being on the eastern Algarve these courses are less expensive than those in the west. We can arrange for some discounts if you let us know that you will be playing golf.
