There are also shaded areas and a wonderful traditional BBQ and dining area.

By renting both the ground floor and first floor apartments, groups of friends or familes are easily accommodated. The spacious interior throughout the whole villa avoids the feeling of being cramped and 'on top of each other' and also offers a degree of privacy if required as both apartments are self contained and superbly equipped. This villa and its facilities are guaranteed to please every member of the larger parties. The wonderful poolside terrace gives all day sun to the sun worshippers whilst the shaded verandas give a welcome break from the heat to relax, read or simply take in the wonderful views. The BBQ and outside dining area for those 'al freso' meals have seating for up to 10 people.

The heart of Tavira

The famous and beautiful town of Tavira is located in the heart of the Eastern Algarve only 30km from Faro Airport and 30 km form the Spanish border. From this villa, approximately 15km. As one of the region's oldest and most attractive town, you cannot fail to be enthralled by its charm, character and tranquility. Once known as the capital of the Algarve, you'll see an abundance of history - a Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants. As well as viewing the many fine C18th building and churches (27 in total!), you can visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park. There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce, and the local beach of Tavira accessible by small ferry boat and boast excellent facilities and a wonderful holiday atmosphere.

Local beaches

The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy shores, and there is an abundance of excellent clean beaches nearby. Other than Tavira Island, we can recommend Manta Rota, approximately 8km away which is expansive and ideal for long walks. In addition, the small fishing village of Cabanas around 12 km away can be reached by an inexpensive water taxi from the main street. All beaches offer sun beds and shades for hire for the sun-worshippers and offer snacks and refreshments.

Activities and things to do.

Whilst this villa is set in the countryside, within minutes there is plenty to do should you so choose. For the keen golfer there are a number of excellent golf courses within a 35 kms radius and we can arrange discounted rates. To the West lies the more commercial resort of Albufeira where you'll find themed activities for the kids including water parks, zoos and go-karting. There are also 2 large shopping centres in Faro and Albufeira with designer shops and restaurants. As a special treat, we also recommend our ' at home' beautician service for a special pampering holiday treat. If you travel further East, Spain is only 30 kms away where you can enjoy wine and Tapas and Seville, only 175kms away, approximately 2 hours if travelling by car.
