Quinta Rosano is a lovely spacious villa set in peaceful surroundings away from the bustle of 21st century life. It is a paradise for nature lovers, ornithologists, walkers and family groups alike, yet it is within easy reach of towns and villages with shops, bars and many beautiful, uncrowded beaches. The local Portuguese are very friendly, making everyone welcome which, combined with the warm climate and excellent food and drink, make a very pleasant holiday.
A car is highly recommended. Nearest airport: Faro-100 kms or 90 minutes drive. It is also a very pleasant drive from Lisbon - 300 kms or 3 hours away.
Activities:
A wide range of holiday activities are within half an hour's drive the property. It is only an hour away from the mountains of Monchique and fabulous views of the Algarve. Many traditional handicrafts come from this area. Four top golf courses are located nearby - see golf section below. Scuba diving, dolphin and deep sea fishing excursions, and trips by traditional sailing boats to the famous grottoes of Ponta de Piedade are available in Lagos. Jeep safaris to the mountains of Monchique have local pick-up points and there are some fabulous beaches to explore on both the southern and west coasts of the Algarve. Horse riding is also available locally. You can even swim with dolphins at Zoomarine. The sunset on a clear night at Cape St Vincente, Europe's most South Westerly point can be a fabulous experience.
