A lovely villa by the first and tenth tees on the Pestana Beloura Golf Course. The accommodation consists of four double bedrooms (two with en-suite facilities) and a further large bathroom . There is a spacious lounge with cable TV and video recorder, a dining room with french windows onto the gardens and a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, dishwasher and gas and electric hob. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have balconies. There are gardens on two sides of the house, a large patio and an 8m x 4m swimming pool.

Notes to the rental rates

• Bed linen and towels provided.
  Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday although we will consider shorter stays except during the peak season
  We are happy to accept payment in pounds sterling, euros or dollars but we cannot accept credit cards
  
• To secure bookings a 25% deposit is required; the outstanding balance is required 2 months prior to arrival. We also require a security deposit of £250 per week payable by cheque two weeks prior to arrival. This is fully refundable if nothing is broken or damaged and the house is returned in a clean and tidy condition. Long term rental rates available

Our villa is essentially a family home which we are happy to rent out principally to golfers who want to have easy access to some of the very best golf courses on the Lisbon Coast but who do not want to pay the high prices associated with similar sized villas on the Penha Longa or Quinta da Marinha/Oitavos golf courses. We try and keep our overheads to a minimum and while there is a weekly cleaning, pool maintenance and gardening service included in the price, we do not offer a maid service nor professional management service to our tenants.

Golf info:

The 18 hole golf course at Pestana Beloura is set in a 60 hectare area with views over the Sintra Mountains. It was designed by Rocky Roquemore of the United States and opened in 1994. The course is flat , has large greens and generous fairways and so provides a pleasurable but not exhausting game. There are several lakes and streams and lots of trees which create an enchanting scenery and make the par 73 course challenging. It is certainly not the best course in the area but does provide easy access to the other famous Lisbon Coast golf courses including Penha Longa, Quinta da Marihna, Oitavos, Estoril, Belas and Lisbon Sports Club. The area was awarded the Established Golf Destination of the Year award 2003 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators - the golf travel experts.

There is plenty for the non-golfer to do including the following places of interest: Cascais: An old fishing village with wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops and a brand new marina; Guincho Beach: famous for its wind-surfing and surfing and excellent seafood restaurants set high up on the cliffs; Estoril: with its famous casino and the sheltered Tamariz Beach; Sintra: an historic town renowned for its famous palaces including the Palacio Nacional de Sintra, the summer retreat for the Portuguese royal family and the kitsch Palacio da Pena built in the 19th Century for Queen Maria II; also try the wonderful beaches on the coast beyond Sintra including Praia da Adraga, voted by the Sunday Times as one of the best 20 beaches in Europe. And Lisbon is only 20 minutes drive away and is one of the most fascinating capitals of Europe

Golf Information:

The villa is ideally situated to enable the keen golfer to try the very best golf courses on the Lisbon Coast including the famous championship course at Penha Longa which is ten minutes' drive away and features some absolutely spectacular holes but do allow plenty of time to play the course as progress can be slow. Lisbon Sports Club and Estoril are the region's oldest clubs and the former in particular is highly recommended by ourselves and our guests for its unspoilt course and a certain 'faded excellence' about its old club house. Also within easy driving distance are Quinta da Marihna, Oitavos and Belas. Oitavos is a wonderful championship course but expensive. Check on internet for discounted rates. An hour and a half's drive away are the Golden Eagle, Praia del Ray , Aroeira and Troia courses.
